It is pretty hard to spell, isn't it?
I've never been, is it hot there? I always picture it to be really hot.
I've been to Nashville and Memphis. It was pretty fun :)
A whole lot of music history in these places.
I have more trouble spelling massachusetts, usually. Tennessee is easy! just double everything xD
Massachusetts is a pain to spell.
Tennesse is my state's shoe!
Indiana here. Kentucky sits on your head, and we sit on Kentucky's head.
I've only ever really been to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, which is a mixture of really beautiful mountains and countryside and an asshole of tourist attractions.
I've never been to Tennessee.
I have heard some amusing things about it though.
I tend to rank states on their education, which would make Tennessee the 10th worst state. California is the 5th worst. Tennessee is better than California.
Stupid smurfing public schools...
I’d say Japan is more overrated than the USA. HOW THE smurf CAN YOU HAVE SUCH GOOD HUNTING RIFLE ACCURACY WITH THOSE EYES?!?!?! I kid, I kid; I love you guys.
Dollywood is nice!
I do not share your hatred for Tennessee nor do I enjoy it.
I remember driving through Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge before and after having visited The Smokey Mountains National Park, and it was just really weird. Almost like driving through a wanna-be Las Vegas or something. It was totally over the top and didn't fit the scenery at all.
What a timely thread to announce this thing: Young & Free Tennessee - BLOG
This is the job I made you all vote for me for and won, only this one is in Tennessee. They just started accepting applications today.
My cousin is currently in a long-distance relationship with a guy from Tennesse. When she flew up to visit him, she greeted him with "you're the only Ten-I-see."
*lol dies*
What about that one that was in Nashville? I distinctly remember it. It was a Dolly-something or other. :colbert:
And now it's a shopping mall. http://www.nashville-charm.com/images/Opry-Mills.jpg
Dollywood was never in Nashville.
EDIT: Oh wow you're right! >.<
I saw Radiohead play an absolutely amazing concert in Tennessee.
I went to the Tennessee state border. I was not compelled to actually enter the state though.
As of Tuesday I live on the Tennessee/Kentucky border.
I thought it was teh Grand Ol' Opry in nashville
It is, and its anything but Grand. Old maybe...but not grand. :eep:
Past by there on a road trip... I saw a huge billboard of Dolly along the highway..Are her boobs that big in ratio to RL?!
Not anymore ol' Chesty's gotten a breast reduction. :( Now the elementary kids have nothing vulgar to sing about:
Dolly Parton, she's the best,
She's got mountains on her chest!
Good times....good times.
West, at Ft. Campbell.
I've been to Tennessee just once, but I was only passing through on my way to Alabama.
I'm in Tennessee right now. Murfreesboro to be exact. Visiting my grandmother.
We've just had massive amounts of snow start pouring!

The closest I've gotten to Tennesse was Branson, MO... Vegas for the Hicks. There were big bugs everywhere. I don't like not-west coast areas. D: How can all you people maaaaannnagggge? D:!
Pretty! I didn't know the upper South was capable of that. :DQuote:

Snow south of the Mason Dixon line is quite rare. :p
I have a personal vendetta against this state, making it the worst state in the country - by far.
I also think that pesky UK Island is far more over rated.
Russia is underrated, and under-appreciated.
I have never been to Tennessee, but my former college roommate of two years had close relatives there, and would visit regularly (several times a year, at least). He, at least, liked the area. I think his relatives live close to Nashville. I could be making that up.
