So it's Pancake Day tomorrow, I don't know if everywhere celebrates it but if you do, do you like pancakes? What do you like on them?
I love them with lemon juice and sugar! :kaolove:
Man I swear every thread I make is about food. :|

OH I'll have some for lunch ! I like them with brown sugar and a lot of maple syrup ! If you can replace the brown sugar with maple butter... it's even better ! Yeah I like sweet pancakes.
I'm excited for Pancake Day. I've never had a British pancake before, so I'm excited to learn to make them!

I appreciate 99% of the membership of this forum will not understand this or why it is great, but this is for the 1% who are smurfing awesome.
Lemon juice and sugar. Nothing else! I'm thinking about going to the shop and buying the ingredients and making some tomorrow :jess:
I haven't had pancakes for like 3 years, I very much doubt I'll have them tomorrow. I'm really not bothered though! Too sickly :{
I love pancakes!! With loads of Cream, Canadian Maple with Berries and Bananas!!!
However....... When my cook tries to make me pancakes....They end up like crepes!! :eyebrow:
I love pancakes. I'm an awful cook, but so something simple like pancakes is right up my alley.
Is it blasphemous to want a Waffle Day too?
I LOVE PANCAKES. Whenever I visit my grandma, she makes me chocolate chip banana sweet potato pancakes and they are the best ever :kaoclove:
Bwahaha. I remember that dude.
I like pancakes. Chloe. is right: lemon juice and sugar all the way. Although sometimes it's nice to throw honey or golden syrup in there for the gooey awesomeness. I also like the savoury ones with cheese in them! http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/6207/coolup.gif
I just got my ingredients to make my first British pancakes! I've never eaten them with lemon juice and sugar, I've only had the thick North American kind of pancakes with lots of maple syrup.
I am so fervently excited for this in the way that only a foreigner can feel about a holiday in a country they're visiting!
Who else rolls their pancakes up?
What's the difference between English and American style pancakes?
British ones are thin, almost as thin as a crepe, but not quite, and they're much bigger in diameter, also similar to a crepe! And they put different stuff on it, like jam or lemon & sugar. Some of the weirder things I've heard of is Nutella and peanut butter as a topping. xD
pfft, those are just crepes.
I like pancakes, but what I want tomorrow is gumbo and jambalaya and cornbread and sweet sweet tea. Mardi gras!
You can put whatever you want on a pancake but you can't go wrong with lemon and sugar! or fruit salad with mebbe a bit of cream. or maple syrup.
Also american ones make me feel sick if they're not tiny 3: I basically just make crepes though so I guess I'm a fraud of an englishwoman.
'American' pancakes are scotch pancakes.

Oooh, I love all kinds of pancakes!
Lemon and sugar.
Strawberry jam and sugar.
Nutella and banana (perhaps with coconut sprinkle).
Peanut butter and jam.
Ice cream.
Honey.
Syrup.
Literally all kinds are great! I prefer European pancakes over American, though.
EDIT: Also, it sounds disgusting and it totally is, but mars pancakes are really tasty too.
11:37AM. Still no pancakes.
Rye's making pancakes right now! I already had some and they are mmmmm yummy~
A British pancake is not a crepe don't you dare sully us with your froggy accusations :colbert:
Somebody email me a recipe for a British pancake. They sound a little bit fancy  [I felt that smiley was fitting, having Quin (a Brit) and the word fancy]
Tonight I'm going to step it up a notch and make APPLE PANCAKES. YUM. :jess:
I'm going to make pancakes for me and my family tonight for dessert to cheer myself up. :jess:

[edit- damnit shlup, it took forever to find the URL for that smiley! Your plan has FAILED. You should set it to 8) or 8-) or 8-D or SOMETHING PLEASE]
I've never ever heard or thought about lemon juice on such a food. I've only recently begun to appreciate maple syrup. English pancake for breakfast, please! Too bad that won't happen. D:
nom nom nom, rolled for me.
Happy Pancake Day! I guess I celebrated for lunch. The only thing that would have made my meal better is orange juice.
Monda, why is your room so cute? ;_;
