Well, did you pre-order your copy yet?

I'm probably gonna do it today... Every time I've preordered a movie off Amazon I've received it the day before release day, so let's hope that continues to hold true. Woo!

Haha, yes, actually, I pre-ordered it just ten minutes ago so good timing with the thread! I also got it from Amazon for precisely the same reason.

Other stuff that I wanted more came up. Gonna have to wait a while for FFXIII. Oh well.

I haven't yet, but I'm getting paid tomorrow so I should be able to soon. :D

Before we get the game, Del Murder and I have to figure out who gets to play it first. It never occurred to me that living together would mean that we'd have to negotiate video game playing. Especially since up until now, it's been a no brainer. I don't want to play the man-boy games he plays, and FFXI we can both play at the same time. :o

What to do?

BJ and I had the same problem for Twilight Princess. The times we wanted to play didn't conflict very often though. Also, he liked to let me go first so that when it was his turn I could sit with him.

ETA: Order placed! No tax, free release-date (or before) delivery, and $10 my next video game purchase. Roof raised.

Si. Pre-ordered from my local EB Games, the weekend before last! In my case, there is no deciding (fighting) between my fiance and I over who gets to play first, as I am the sole video-game geek in our house.

I pre-ordered in store at Gamestop like two months ago. :D

Friend working at EB Games is giving me their massive FFXIII poster they used for promotional purposes, for free! Won't fit in my room though. XD

I already pre-ordered it from GameBuzz, gonna pick it up the day it is released~ AND IT IS MY DAY OFF THAT DAY! :D

I pre-ordered mine from Amazon last month. I forked out the extra $6 for the release date shipping option.

I think Danielle is getting mine for my birthday (it's pretty much a request of mine!), although I'm wavering over whether I want her to get the special edition (artwork/soundtrack/etc) or the piggyback guide. Which would you guys say is better?

Need a PS3 first.

I generally don't bother pre-ordering games, at least not in the past few years.

Interesting, the Strategy Guide is being done by a different publisher. Usually its Brady but now XIII is using Piggyback Interactive instead. Found this out cause talking at my Gamestop, if you pre-order XIII they hand you a mini-guide to show you what the real guide is going to look like.

Piggyback used to be the published back in the 7 and 8 days if I remember correctly...

XII for me came with a sample of a piggyback guide, pretty sure it was mentioned as the official one.

I pre-ordered mine last Thursday, I think O.o I ordered it from a local game store, which the last time I pre-ordered from there I got it a day early (so fingers crossed this one will be the same).

Piggyback has done all the guides for the European/PAL regions for awhile apparently but in the US, its always been BradyGames. This is the first game to have PiggyBack do them exclusively for all regions (well maybe not Japan). So it is a bit of a change for some of us. :D

Not too annoyed cause BradyGames was always hit or miss in terms of quality strategy guides. I prefer Double Jump myself, they do the MegaTen/Nippon Ichi titles and not only are their guides useful but tend to be packed with information explaining cultural concepts in the games as well as interviews and artwork. Even some other behind the scenes stuff. :)

What ever happened to Prima? I always thought they had the best strats. Brady Games strats I believe suck.

I would be doing this right now but I live in central Ohio and none of the ten million GameStops here are doing it apparently. Except for in the mall that's ten minutes or so away from me, but I don't feel like going into the mall right now.
