When multiple attacks were fired at an enemy, the first killed him. The bullet Sahz fired that missed, however, could be seen hitting the rock in the background.
That was quite possibley the coolest pointless thing I'd ever seen a game do.
If you rotate the camera around, the character's eyes move to follow it.
I like how the sound of your footsteps changes very realistically depending on the terrain you're walking on. The details and graphics are well done for a JRPG.
I went down to grab a treasure and Sazh followed but Vanille didn't. When Sahz and I came back up Vanille was sitting on a hunk of crystal waiting for us to catch up with her.
I also love the little things they say while you're walking around.
I love everything about Final Fantasy but it is a pitty you cannot see yourself in water. In Media or Oerba for example I wish you could see yourself while you are walking through the water or while you are standing in front of it. But you cannot.
I love the way Fang stretches when she is sitting on a chocobo. And I love how she sits on a chocobo.
The stupidest thing just screamed awesome too me.
When you touch the first weather sphere with Sahz and Vannile, they do a simultaneous shoulder shrug. XD
Flanitors and every other Flan spawn combo! But especially Flanitors.
I love when they thank each other for heals in battle! Vanille and Sazh make an adorable battle team.
I love Team Vanille and Sazh. Loooooooove them. And Rye and I both adore the flans.
Man, this thread make me want this game more than any other thread has so far. xD
Don't you love when their silly little siren hats go on and they just huddle up and heal each other? It's up there with the frocobo in cute factor.
I like the polite thank yous as well, Amanda. Maybe this will subliminally teach people manners and politeness. Maybe I should get this game for Hux's housemates, so they actually clean the kitchen and buy toilet paper for once. :stare:
I'm now in Chapter 7, so spoilers from here on out:
(SPOILER)I like the fact that when orders came down to disregard civilian casualties, the rank-and-file called bull:bou::bou::bou::bou:. And when the order was given over them, as soon as you get control of Fang it showed them continuing to prioritze civilian lives over killing l'cie.
The Flan are cute?! I haven't gotten to any flan yet. So far just fighting giant robo-cocks with purple capes. I'm about halfway through chapter four, I think. :o
Favorite paradigm so far: Bully. Switch to that for like 10 seconds, back to Relentless Assault, and these bitches get smurfed up.
When you get to the point of the game where everyone is together and you actually start exploring, the dialogues you have with the characters when they all stand around RPG style are fantastic.
I'll tell you what would be nice - and I am mostly posting this in the hopes that it exists and I missed it, so someone can point it out to me :shobon: - a mark all new items on the menu as read button!
Oh my god: seconded.
Seriously. It bothers me to see all those little alerts!
Fourth'd.
It only takes a few seconds to mark them as read, I've never had many to go through - but then, I love reading through them, so maybe that's just me.
As for what I like: Fishbirds! FISHBIIIIRDS! And the sheep. And also agree about Sahz/Vanille. Well, Sahz/Vanille/Chickabo, really. =] What a trio!
I mean, like, in the enemy intel section and stuff. Like I don't want to go through and mark all of those as read, dammit. And I don't need a blinking cursor every time I get a new hunk of swag. Just tell me the important stuff, like when you update the frocobos datalog!
Hahahahah we are fighting Triffids right now. Justice.
When Lightning got her fourth ATB bar I was impressed at the way she did three strikes and then shot as she jumped back for the fourth hit. This game feels so polished.
I really love Lightning's character animations in general. Playing as her you really feel in the heat of a battle, and actually playing as a character who could take on half a dozen guys by themselves.
What would be really kick-*arse* is if the other characters started having more and more agile movement patterns in battle as the story went on.
beginning of ch11I walked over to some sheep just wandering Pulse and Hope is all "They seem awfully gentle, yet they manage to survive out here, huh?" Something like that. I <3 him.
I <3 the little commentary.
Dumb thing to get a kick out of but I brought the camera around to Sazh's face in Ch. 5 and noticed some little black hairs sticking out of his nose. Real sticklers for the details, eh? :p
