I think we should do this whenever a new game comes out, though, for sure. Just to wrangle a few people back in each time, and to make people spam Murd with requests to have their account deleted.
Even in 2010 it was surprising to see people still have the e-mail address they signed up with. I had a hotmail at the time, and that was like 6 e-mail addresses ago.
I suppose because as a teen you make them like candy. Changing them to whatever your username is at different places.
I'm a boring adult now, so I've had the standard "your name @ gmail" for several years.
And here I am, still using my very first email address. :D
I also use my first email address, which gets embarrassing when applying for jobs. ^^;
