Okay, so I've decided that I hate naps. Sometimes, I do get too tired to get through a day without recharging, however, I find it makes it impossible for me to sleep that night, and it screws with my schedule for days.
Naps, yay or nay?

smurf you! Naps are awesome! You're just a negative nancy who's doing it wrong.
It's great to just lay down on the couch after a hard day's work and take a little nap. It is painful waking up from one though.
I've never liked naps. I'd rather push through the day and get a good night's sleep.
No one else wakes up with a wicked bad taste in their mouth and it takes like 2 hours to get out?
That's causeyou're a mouth breather boko.Psy can't resist the temptation.
I once heard someone refer to taking a nap right before you go to bed as a nappetizer. I always liked that so I thought I'd share it.
Naps are the best.... The only nasty downside is when that sometimes you just don't want to get up... If I over nap.. I become groggy and unfocused!
No way, I hate sleep in general. It's a waste of time.
Anyway, I agree with Flying Mullet.
I've never had a nap, I'll go to bed really really early, but I've never had a nap! If I've been in work all day after rolling into my house in the wee hours (talking 4/5am with me), I'm fast asleep by 6pm and I won't wake up till the next morning, so I kinda skip the 'nap' part.
Naps are for people who fail at real sleeping. Maybe get better at something easy and then talk to me.
I don't nap, because I usually just can't get to sleep during the day. Like Mullet, I prefer to just suck it up throughout the day and try to sleep more at night.
Yup. Naps are still for failures though.Quote:
Don't you hate sleeping in general?
I hate naps. If I take one, then I can't sleep at night, either.
The only time I take naps is when I have a migraine. >_<
Sometimes I am really, really tired and I have to take a nap, like when I have trouble sleeping for a few days in a row, or I was out playing sports or something. Naps are great when I am sick too. However, I put nay because I don't take naps unless I am completely drained, and I can normally make it to the weekend where I will sleep for 11 hours unless woken up for breakfast.
[I hate asleep people!] Napping falls into this broader field of dislike!
But to paraphrase a friend: sometimes, you just got to be unconscious!
naps are great :p
I've never taken a nap, but then I usually take between 30 minutes and an hour to actually fall asleep, so it wouldn't really be easy for me to do. :p Also I don't really have the time for them anyway.
I've never been good at taking naps. If I've taken one, I'll have trouble sleeping that night, and when I wake up from one chances are that I'll be disoriented, confused and kinda grumpy.
I wish I were better at it, but I'm just not. I get by fine without them *shrug*
I don't care if I've had 15 hours of sleep already, if the opportunity arises, I will take a nap and it will be damn good.
Hell no. Naps utterly destroy me; they make me feel like crap for the remainder of the day and I can't get to sleep come the night. Awful.
Argh I always nap and I hate it. I wish I could stay awake but I always get home from college and pass out for like 4-5 hours, sometimes longer. I find it so easy to fall asleep in the day, but even if I don't nap it's still really difficult for me to get to sleep at night so i'm always tired :(
I love a good nap. The problem is I usually take long naps. Naps should be short but once I'm asleep I don't have the self-control to wake up!
I took a 30 minute nap yesterday and it was awesome.
Not really sure...I hate falling asleep for long periods of time during the day. But if if I've had an exceptionally excruciating day (late night/early morning) I will take a 20-40 minute nap without feeling like it ruined anything for me.
Last Saturday I took a 3 hour nap in the early afternoon  caused me to sleep later and later every night...
I read somewhere that taking a power nap helps to create a 'mid engine' system check in your brain
Every time I came back from campus, I'd unwind first then take 20 min nap...Its a good charge up from me because then I'd spend a good portion of the night working on my textile assignments.
I used to feel the same way, but when I started college I found myself enjoying them more. In fact I kind of want to take one now, I had my jogging class today
