X, that's why it's one of my favorites. I think everyone's first FF kinda counts to their favorite FFs.
My first Final Fantasy was the first Final Fantasy.
FF9! Got it along with a PlayStation and a few other games from my cousin who couldn't keep them for whatever reason.
Final Fantasy VII. The one and only.
I'll go one up and put them all in order
FF7
FF8
FF6
FF5
FF4
FFT
FF10
FF9
FF1
FF2-ish
FF12
FF3
FF13 (duh)
It was FFIX, my brother got a second-hand copy back in 2001.
FF7. I was 10 or so, and a friend of mine bought it when it first came out, and after playing a while recommended it to me.
Personally IX, but I had watched my bro play VII before that. So it wasn't like FF's were super new to me.
The best one ever, Mystic Quest!
VII is the first one I remember. My memory seems to think I played a Final Fantasy on the SNES some years earlier, but I can't for the life of me remember it. It could have been any old RPG!
*Holds up the number on a paddle shaped scorer*: Seven!
It got me into the FF series even though some of my friends had talked about the previous games when I was a kid (I never took that much notice as they where all Nes/Snes games and aside from having a GameBoy I was a Sega Kid back then.)
Final Fantasy VII. Shocking, I know.
Final Fantasy VII. Probably one of the reasons I like it best.
Final Fantasy on Origins
Final Fantasy III DS. I loved it so much, I've played through it 4 or 5 times already.
IV. It's why I own four copies of it in various forms.
Mine was IX, unless you count the demo disc I had with the FFVIII intro on it. That intro captivated me, but IX was my first actual FF.
I feel so young..
FFVII since it was the first released in the uk i believe but then i discovered emulation and started form FF1
Jimmy-
VII, like most of the United Kingdom (of those that didn't play Mystic Quest Adventure anyway).
Until recently I thought I had it good. These days I think we were the unlucky ones.
III DS
XII
X
XIII
Final Fantasy III DS is one of the worst games I have ever played. I spent over 20 hours in it and have no idea why. I just gave up trying to find out what could possibly make this game good in this day and age (well, three and a half years back).
FF VII, which i believe to be the best FF game to get somebody into the series.
FF IV on the SNES, back when it was released as "FF II".
I'm almost embarrassed to admit it was FFVII since everyone will point to that as the exclusive, sole, and only reason why I think it's the best "BECUZ IT WAS My FIRST ONE!!!"
N00b!!! j/k, that's a great game to start with (and i've played it 4 or 5 times too)
>>> FF1 NES was the first, the second was Mystic Quest..:luca:
I'm proud to be part of the FFVII generation. At the time, I thought it the best game evaaaah!
Mystic Quest was my first, and I played IV soon after *cough*emulation*cough*. I definitelly do not consider FFIV (OR Mystic Quest, for that matter) to be the best in the series.
FFV
Which i think goes some way into explaining why i disliked IV. I thought having all my customization taking away was some kind of trick. I played about 10 hours in and when i realized it wasn't coming, i abandoned it.
FFXII. :D
My first was FFX. I remember watching my brother play VII a few years before that though, but he never let me play any of his games at the time and I was quite young anyway.
My first was FFVII. I died at the first boss, turned it off, and never played another FF for about 7 years.
II
Mystic Quest
VI
V
I don't remember the order anymore and when I played the others.
FFVIII except there was something wrong with the disk and it didnt work past a certain point in the dollet mission
Mine was FFX and the only reason I ever got that was because of Chloe's brother (mentioned a few posts up). I remember being over her house a few times and seeing him playing FFVII and as soon as I saw the Choco/Mog summon I wanted to play it. Unfortunatly the stores no longer sold it so I got FFX instead and hunted VII down online (well my parents did for one of my birthday presents :omghey: ).
