For the hell of it?
Doesn't do much, just a place to rest for free,I guess.
And it's funny when you go there and Cloud says "This is MY Villa".:jess:
Then, after you sleep,Cloud wakes up,go to the bathroom, look at the mirror and flips his hair.

I've done so in two playthroughs ;} I kind of wish you could do more with it, but it's a bit of fun.
I always buy the Villa. Just make sure you get all the All-materia, master them near the end, and sell one. Bam! You'll never need another dime.
Yeah, I always but it, but I don't even know why because it serves no purpose. I probably but it for the sake of having it. But it is kinda cool to be a big shot with your own holiday home! :D It's the least I deserve for saving the world!
Yes xD
You should sooooo have spoiler'd this thread. I feel upset. My dream has been crushed.
You are all to blame.
I buy it when I can. I'm always glad to get it over with and it is a free place to stay and restore HP/MP.
I sure did!
I always sell one or two mastered All Materia, so I have plenty of money to spend on my villa and chocobo-breeding hobby.
Yeah. It's fun to do. And what else are you going to do with all that money?
Of course. It's a friggin' villa!
I did it mostly to shove the fact that I do have money right in that snide real estate agent's face.
I bought the Villa, and I liked it.
I always buy it. I wish you could do more with it. Like... add furniture or something? This was 1997 though...
Maybe in the remake? :jokey:
Yes. They should release a spinoff for it. "CLOUD & HIS VILLA"
I don't understand why Cloud isn't living there during the events of Advent Children! It's right on the beach!
There's not even that many places in that world to live. You'd think you'd choose the tropics over gloomy Midgar slums.
I bought it the first time I played but the other 20 times I didn't bother.
I lol'd.
That's their summer place. Can you picture Cloud with a tan all year long? It'd clash with his moodiness.
I've never bought the villa. Whenever I had enough gil I was far enough into the game to have forgotten about it.
I always buy the Villa when I have the dosh.
I stumbled upon it and I didn't have anything else I needed gil for so I bought it. At the time I didn't know nothing much would happen if I did buy it.
You have to buy the Villa, It's the law! Like you have to get chosen for dons love slave, that is also law. Just like you have to pretend to be all gay for Don, again: IT IS LAW!!!
I think I've bought it in a couple of playthroughs. I do it when I feel like it.
Only for "completion" but yes. You get to a point in the game where money is completely unnecessary, so that's when I normally do it.
What are y'all talking about?
The house for sale at Costa Del Sol. At first, you might be inclined to believe that you can't buy it when you first see it since it's for sale at such an unfathomably high price, but you can. And we did.
It's benefit is that it's essentially a free inn. But seeing as you have the Highwind by the stage of the game in which you can buy it , it doesn't really serve a purpose (the Highwind, as well as several other locations, provides a free rest up too). Not to mention that fact that it costs more money than you'll ever spend on Tents and inn stays anyway.
hmm, I don't remember that. Have to look for it on my next playthrough whenever that will be.
I was not able to find how to buy it
I actually haven't bought it, ever :( I keep thinking I have enough mulah but then turns out I don't and you only get the once chance :(
how much and when
At the end of the game when you are running around with over a million Gil how could you not buy it? :D
A mastered All sells for 1.4 million :colbert:
that was a very long time ago though...
I can't find all my discs from the game.Moved several times since I played it so I seems to have lost a disc.
Oh well...:mad2:
This brings back memories. I miss that house. too back I can't have something like that in real life!
A free place to stay? Why not! :D
I think the price of the Villa was 300,000 Gil
I thought it was 200,000 Gil.
LoM will prob know.
Yes, I always do buy the villa if I have the cash available.
I always go for the villa as well. I usually get it before going to Cosmo Canyon for the first time. Because I fight the advanced battles in Junon and build up lots of AP and master a couple All Materias and have over 3000000gil.
Advanced battles?
at what point can you buy the villa
You can actually buy the villa at any point of the game, even upon the first time you arrive in Costa Del Sol. You just need 300,000 gil. The guy that sells it to you is in the house from the moment you first walk in and will be there for the entire game until you choose you buy it from him.
I was never able to purchase one due to it's extremely high cost. How much does the guy charge you for the villa? I don't remember the exact cost, but I do remember it was extremely expensive :eep:
EDIT - Ok, I just found out it cost 300,000 gil, which is not as expensive as I thought it would be. Perhaps in my next playthrough I will make the effort to purchase one :p
The advanced battles are when you trip that alarm in Junon where the grunts are practicing form, after you get the buggy.
oh yeah, i thought those were kinda dumb...
who sells da villa? is it that poor guy in the bar?
he never offered to sell it to me...
You may not have had enough money. He doesn't make the offer unless you have the Gil. Otherwise, he just talks.
I always bought the villa because the bed looked so comfortable when the seller rubs his feet on the sheets. Cloud was suppressing his inner desire to do the same too...it was getting unbearably whiny.
I think it's hilarious that this question warrants a "yes or no" response, and there's nothing you can even do with the villa besides rest there, and it's really a useless option, yet this thread has gone on for four pages. :p
Considering you get ludicrous amounts of cash in endgame, and nothing to spend it on, yeah.
Was there anyone crazy or bored enough to buy it the first time you get to Costa Del Sol? Not impossible but Cloud would probably be lvl 50 or so :p
Or just have 300k gil.
I never bought the Villa... until the last time I played FFVII. Seemed like a waste, but this time I decided what the heck! The money is just pixel money anyway ;).
It's a cool gimmick to the game, but as mentioned previously it would kinda cool if more could be done with it. Haha now my mind is filled with all kinds of sordid thoughts.... -walks away in shame-
I did, but I regretted it cause I dun get to see Cloud go naked in the villa. :(
The game produces shower noises for your imagination as the screen fades to black though.
Sí. Sí, compramos Villa.
Yip. First time I played through I thought the estate agent was very rude so I vowed to get the money and prove him wrong. I was also like 7.
Yes, I bought it and stayed inside there forever. That is my ending for FFVII. No more killing and stuff.
of course i bought the villa. do i look like a mothertsmurfer who rents>?
