My join date seems to occur in that large gap between '01 and '04
I guess this is as close as it gets.
Yup, I'm in the gap too, so whatever those two posted. I remember very little about what was going on in EoFF at the time I registered and I definitely don't remember who the staff were (besides Loony BoB, bleys and unne)
I remember The Man was posting long posts all over the place, I remember Mystic Ice Goddess being all over the FF forums, which is mostly where I went back then, and I remember CloudDragon's FFVII Survivor and some other contests that were going on. I didn't get much invested with the forums until 2004
Weren't there some of those vbulletin arcade games back then?
They still are linked under community, the high scores don't work though.
Urm I guess this is as close as I can get.... I registered in July 04 so the sept one I guess is fairly close. Oh look at that the lower forums were all one section!
The September 2001 link.
April 3, 2005 is the closest I can get to March 24, 2005.
I can't bring up the EzBoard nor find screenshots, but I know some people have them. Like Bleys, who now posts here occasionally. Bleys, post EzBoard screenshots.
September 1st 2004 is almost August 24 of the same year. We'll go with that.
BoB (?) posted links to the archives of the EzBoard once, I had fun reading through all of your posts (generally directed). He's the stat man after all, old BoBBers.
So I was looking back at some of the earlier ones available.
March 2001: Magestar. lol. Also why did we put up with that banner.
April 2001: "As of February 26, 2001, all members must re-register. " Oh yes, that was a familiar sight. This is actually at least my third EoFF account.
No images of 2002.
Because it was photoshoooooooop! That was high tech back then. I know I was impressed.
And yes, christ, all those board resets. Remember when the staff lost their mind and took away sigs?
I cba to look for my actual join date, but those ones Raist posted are close enough (within six months. the join date in my profile has been wrong for years)
I find it unnerving that this kind of old crap can still be found in the tubes.
Still a couple years off from when I joined though.
Like an ocean sunset refracted in welling tears, it was beautiful.

EDIT: For me: Basically I joined in August 2000, so pick your archive.org thing from that region and you've got it.
I remember when one happened while I was gone. I came back and apparently someone else had registered Raistlin in my absence and everyone but BOU thoguht it was me for a while. Then when I actually did come back and registered Naitsirk (a newbie at the time) was in awe of the real, "legendary" Raistlin, which prompted me to wonder what drugs you guys took in my absence.
I think I blocked it out.Quote:

Here it is the very day I joined! I think this may have been several hours earlier, though.

It was blue and very old.... who here as the original old version look!
Edit: It looked like this.... Yea see I've actually been around here.. *breaks wind*

Psy's party time, why am I not suprised?
I distinctly remember fire_of_avalon threathening some poor guy with putting him on "her list". :D
I cannot help but notice 2009 has nothing listed under it. Do we not qualify the amount of activity anymore or something?
Is anyone like me and looking to see if they were online, but jumping straight to the front of the 'online member list' as opposed to looking alphebetically? Facepalms ensue.
I lost my ezBoard archives when I torched my Windows partition. I think I still have a screenshot of the Thanos/Cid "Princess" thread somewhere, but it might take me days to find it and I can't be arsed.
It kinda looked like it does now.
:p
Well im not on the list, since I fall in the huge gap, but the closest would be 2004. Also, I still have the old school forum style (minus the new banner).
I’m not supposed to be looking back.
link
I see RSL and some other people that makes me lulz
It looks the same as it does now. Except the FFXIII thing.
It was much more blue. There were more Patrick the starfish signatures floating around. I used to actually get PMs in my PM box. Joel posted a lot. I used to think everyone lived in America and was SHOCKED to learn that people from all over the world were on the forums. I was sixteen ( it says my join date was 2003 but I joined 2001 and made a second account like a dweeb. )
I think that if I could somehow use EoFF as a time machine I would journey back in to the past and punch myself in the face as I posted on this site. My old posts make me want to disembody cute things while they are still alive.
Interesting factoid: I found this thread while trying to find older posts before I was Fuzakeru. Haha! It's funny reading y'alls' old answers. It's even more funny to see Rye post non size=1
I remember this: http://web.archive.org/web/200409010....eyesonff.com/
I joined a looong time ago. I'm not very active these days though. I remember ffclassic.com (or something similar?) was the place to be, everyone was playing FF1, waiting for the remake to come out on that foreign handheld console.
Dr Unne was pumped :p
It had Auron and Vivi and stuff. At least that's all I can remember, it may have been different when I first joined.
None of this Dark Magician Girl crap, though (wtf is that all about?)
I found one where I'm listed as being online but I can't for the life of me find my join date. Before december '04, I guess.
I barely remember the ezboard. I probably just spammed.
I do recall Cid posting a thread at Final Fantasy Worlds Apart inviting people to his new ezboard. I opted for Final Fantasy: InDepth instead, which led to... whatever Edge had, which led to tGA and back to EoFF.
http://web.archive.org/web/200409010....eyesonff.com/
But I was under a different name in 2002.
Yes, like when you and goddamn Britt decided to inject gundams into tGA.
Kids these days.
Haha, what is this, oldbie day? Did BoB send out another email?
Hello older oldbies.
God, I've never been more than a drive-by for this community. Maybe I should stick around for once out of boredom.
wow long time ago..
2006.04.14 (closest one)
it looks like people are pondering on if they made a "street fighter 4", whatever that is!? xD
and somebody seems to be a Chav in the lounge.
FFXII was the latest in the FF world!

Bwhaaha, the day I joined.
*Cooks Faris in a pie*

And this is the closest to when I joined, about a month after I joined.

Today I just noticed there was a new FFXIII skin, I finally changed from the skin from when I joined lol.
Wow, the threads are so dumb on October 31st 2001! No, I would not die for EoFF, 'Hardwood Hank', you scary person.
Anyway, I joined in 2004. If that wayback machine is to be believed, I'm actually using the exact same layout from back then. It's just the superior layout. :p
