I think it is pretty sick, but at the same time... If you want to make a genuinely scary horror movie, this is the path to go down.
I just hope no insane people actually try this in real life.
I'm not entirely sure how else it should be taken. He's clearly condoning mass murder because the Saw movies are popular.

That's so wrong. I don't normally like to watch horror movies, mostly because the vast majority of them suck. If this film is anything like Saw in quality and originality, I'll watch it.

I'm not sure if it's explained, but I know he got an actual surgical consult and they sat down and discussed what would be a method of performing something like that and having it be successful (or at least medically plausible). So I suppose that it could work on some level, I'm not sure how exactly though.
