What the smurf! Terrible. The mascots for the 2010 Winter Olympics were so qt. I loved them.

By the way, these one-eyed freaks are called Mandeville and Wenlock. I don't know if that's of any significance to Londonites, but the Sydney Olympic mascots were called Syd, Olly and Millie after Sydney, Olympics and Millenium, which made sense.

I liked the China Olympics pandas much more. At least they were adorable. These guys just look creepy.

Their names are the only good thing about them. They're actually named after British towns which had their own games (eg the Wenlock Games) that inspired the modern Olympics.Quote:

They're like weird martians. I don't hate them. They're stupid, but mascots tend to be like that.
Well, I haven't given out an opinion myself, now have I? Well, I don't really see anything terrible about the mascots, but I can see how they can be viewed as one eyed monsters. xD The names are a little weird, but at least they have some meanings behind them. I would think the mascots are a little improvement over the logo, I think. The logo is just terrible looking, meanwhile the mascots aren't. the logo looks like it's come straight from the 1980s, and the mascots look like they've come straight from the 2980s. go figure.
