Mafia XV Game Thread -- GAME OVER - TOWN WIN! (That's just Peachy!)

What a jubilation! What a fun time! The fruits were celebrating the Fruit Basket Festival! All fruits were welcome! Now, before you anticipate a mafia starring Harvey Milk, Richard Hatch, and Elton John, be aware, we’re talking about a whole different type of Fruit Frenzy! Berries, citruses, it does not matter! All were invited! Towards the end, the Fruit Politician, Pineapple, rose to give a speech.
“To all my dear fruity friends. From apple to oranges to plantains, we wish to celebrate a fantastic past few years! We would like to celebrate such a ceremony by-”

Then it happened. A bang and small explosion came from the audience. [M] Pineapple was a Nice Young Democrat*. It was like someone released the single most powerful thing that could fit in your hand: a bullet. For fruits, that is. Pineapple was struck by the force, pineapple’s prickled pulp propelled powerfully past the podium. “Oh my,” said the ever-bashful Strawberry, “someone shot Pineapple!” Fingers were being pointed, accusations were being made. Some fruit had gone bad. It’s time to see who killed the poor old rigid pal. Are you a fruity enough dude to find the killers?

*Not a real role, nor is it representative of any role in the game.

Day One begins now, and will continue for 24 hours from the time of this post. Keep in mind this may change along with the ordinary Day One issues.

Red Apple, you should know that editing another members quote to use it as evidence is a pretty dirty move, and it will only hurt your case. It's not too much of a problem this time though, because the edited quote makes no sense anyway. If you want people to believe you, base an argument on what really exists.

I'm not sure who to vote for honestly. I'll get back to you all on that.

While it is understandable that misquoting and manipulations of what is previous said can be seem misleading without proper identifications that it was modified, I think you guys are taking a bit of humour a little too seriously. It is Day 1 after all, chillax~

How exactly was that a joke? If Red Apple was trying to say that Watermelon was wrong and using that as his joke, then Red Apple himself is wrong because he hadn't made a post at the time watermelon said that.

I will admit it's strange. I'd say Apple just typed it his/herself since it was so short, but it links back to the actual post. Whatever happened, I'm not going to read much into it. I don't see what anyone would have to gain from making it look like Watermelon is arguing with himself.

My problem wasn't that you were suspecting me, because I didn't get the feeling that you were at all. My problem was that you did exactly what I said in my post, which is see the sides as equal and ignore my point.

Just to clarify, I didn't see the joke at first, and if it hadn't been for Plum immidiately coming in to say "It was all a joke, there's no reason to suspect him", I would of said "Oops, sorry. I guess I have no sense of humor. *guffaw guffaw*" My arguement now isn't about the joke, but how immediate Plum's response was to my questioning of it, and the "coincidence" of them currently having the same vote.

I'm still in favor of voting for absentees at this point. I think Banana is being overzealous, but that's not really suspicious...not yet anyway.

I chose to ignore both points: Plum's and your's. Not exclusively yours, deary. I didn't say you were wrong and ignored you, I said that you both valid, however since it is Day 1, it is not saying much. Therefore, I just chose to ignore both points and chose a third option than get pulled into an argument that I feel is pointless at this point in the game. While it fits the latter part of your statement, it does not fit the previous stipulation of "Banana is wrong". I realize that I am going into semantics here, and it is far more thinking than I care to do at such an hour~

You may continue to feel that I am paying you special attention and merely ignoring what you said, but truthfully I am just ignoring the whole thing in general that happens to include yourself~

I do not believe that a mafia would be so stupid to draw the attention that Banana has draw in. I do believe Red Apple's joke went entirely over Banana's head. Banana is very defensive, but is right in thinking changing a quote is suspicious. This just isn't the right context for it. I do believe at least one of these fruits: Banana, Watermelon, Cherry, Red Apple, and Plum are sour. It may be incriminating if Watermelon and/or Red Apple is revealed to be bad so they could try to defend that fruit by trying to redirect attention to another player.

As I suspected, Banana was not smart enough to pull a diversion tactic like everyone who voted for him claimed. No offense to Banana.

Oh, right. About that vote for Red Apple. See, I only did it because Red Apple was the first fruit that I could think of that I hadn't seen at the time I made that vote. Well, it's clear that Red Apple probably didn't really deserved the vote, and have I been around when Red Apple and Banana and Plum were discussing I could have changed my vote, but at least it's all cleared up so we're all good! :D

Here we had a five way tie until Strawberry broke it to vote out Banana. I was going to come in here with a theory that one of the other four were mafia and Strawberry tried saving them at the last minute, but as we can see this wasn't the case. However I do believe one of these other four is likely to be mafia. I'm sure we're not so bad of a town to put five team mates up on the chopping block.

Make that other three. Strawberry is confirmed town obviously.

So I think Town Furry did something like visit someone to block them but could also use furry powers to kill rather than roleblock. It looks like color will be important this time. I have somewhere to be in a few hours time and I might be gone the rest of the Day, so I'd like to hear some opinions of this before I have to leave. Otherwise, I'm going to vote soon.

Honestly? I thought that from how the argument was going at the time, as I said, both sides seem equally correct. Banana's point about how fast Plum defended Red Apple, making Plum suspicious seemed to be pretty equal to Plum's claim that Banana could just be Mafia using an innocent joke. I also stated that I thought Banana just missed the joke and was making a bigger fuss about the issue than needed be. I thought Plum was equally innocent and was just trying to get Banana to realize that it was just a joke, like most of us took it to be~

Sorry, I didn't jump the bandwagon and voted with everyone else. The case was that I did not think Banana was guilty, but Plum made a valid point. Plum was as likely as Banana, at the time, of being Mafia but I thought neither were. It was just a circular argument based on a misunderstanding. Furthermore, it was getting late. I wanted to go to bed and wanted to get a vote in before it was too late. I even noted that by voting for Orange I was contradicting what I had stated earlier in the thread, heck I even said that it was probably "vain hope" to have a vote of substance, based on solid evidence, on Day 1. So I went with someone had no votes and wasn't likely to get voted off. I voted safe. I know I could have chose not to vote, but in this case it was damned if you do, damned if you don't~

As for the "tildes" (~) and the "deary", that is easily a facade. I just want to put some distance between my Blueberry account and my EoFF account, so that hopefully people will not know who I am. Various other people in this thread have said that Banana was posting defensive, but that it was not actually a dead ringer for being mafia. One of those people was Strawberry. That's why she, myself, Blueberry, and others did not vote for Banana. If anything a mafia would either vote for Banana or simply say "WOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING IS REALLY WEIRD BANANA EVERYONE LOOK AT HOW BAD AND WEIRD BANANA IS" not "you make equally valid points" and "let's just ignore that".

It also tells us nothing when they don't say anything even when they are alive. I would imagine if you signed up for something and knew what day it was starting you'd be available otherwise why sign up? Things are different when the game starts to go on longer because things do come and whatnot, but that was only the first day. The only reason for inactivity for the first day normally points towards one thing: not wanting to draw attention to yourself which is only something mafia would have to worry about.

Ok, so my first question for the day is why did Strawberry get killed?
My guess is that the Mafia wanted to take down someone who probably didn't throw heat on, or gain heat from any of the mafia members, wasn't inactive, but didn't stir up a whole lot of trouble either, it's a safe, easy kill for night 1.

You might be inclined to think that Grape may have influenced Strawberry's death, with that completely random vote at the end of the day, but it'd be Mafia suicide to do something like that. I'm not saying that Grape's vote doesn't need explaining (was it a vote so you had a vote, like Blueberry argued?), but I'm saying it seems absurd to say that Grape is Mafia based on that vote.

This makes sense doesn't it? What do you guys think?

Although Blueberry had just gained two votes from Lime and Green Apple in quick succession, at this point in time Banana was the one with their head on the chopping block not Blueberry, and three others had two votes on their heads as well.
Your average Mafia is smart enough not to bandwagon like that so early on in the game.
So it leaves me wondering, why were you focusing so keenly on, and inadvertently defending Blueberry like that?

That is a bit unclear. I was weighing the possibilities of Banana being on either side. If Banana was mafia he would be defending his mafia buddy though I eventually decided that Watermelon and Red Apple are the most suspicious out of the three who had the most votes.

On the defensive immediately, thats what I like too see! The silly day one voting stick isn't gonna wash I'm afraid. I find it weird that 3 players would display a similar voting pattern day one ie lets vote the inactive players. I know from previous mafia outings there is usually a mafia amongst the inactive players & to draw attention away from that, other mafia vote for them day 1 & from day 2 onwards dismiss their actions as merely day 1 randomness.

Various other people in this thread have said that Banana was posting defensive, but that it was not actually a dead ringer for being mafia. One of those people was Strawberry. That's why she, myself, Blueberry, and others did not vote for Banana. If anything a mafia would either vote for Banana or simply say "WOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING IS REALLY WEIRD BANANA EVERYONE LOOK AT HOW BAD AND WEIRD BANANA IS" not "you make equally valid points" and "let's just ignore that".
