Turn on your PS2 and put your Kingdom Hearts disc inside. This is the next "Eyes on plays!" In past editions of "Eyes on plays" players were asked to take screenshots in order to prove their accomplishments. Not this time, though! Don't you worry about it! Starting a new game isn't a requirement either; continue an old save, if you want. Maybe there's a sidequest you never completed. I love Kingdom Hearts, it's my favorite PS2 game.

I like to press Select and look at the chalk drawings on rocks in the Secret Place. I'm pretty sure there's a Chocobo sketched on one of the rocks, next to Donald! I didn't notice the two of them in other play-throughs.

So far my favorite ting to do is swim around de island.

There are so many doors in Traverse Town that don't lead anywhere -- that are just there for looks -- and it's frustrating!

Also I could never hit the rare truffle 100 times :mad:

Good idea!

The easiest place to smack Rare Truffles around is the deck of Captain Hook's ship; and just running inside the ship and back out is enough to make them spawn. Since Sora can fly in Neverland, he'll be able to stay in the air while hitting a Rare Truffle around (which is why it's so easy to accumulate 100 hits here). You just have to watch out for parts of the ship -- sometimes they block your view, or Sora will accidentally hit a pole and miss his Truffle.

Ive tried there and I still suck at it -_-

BTW Oath Keeper is the best keyblade imo though the Divine Rose has the best sound effect

This game was so hard near the end if you didn't use magic or.. you know.. anything but the attack button.

Choosing the fugly staff at the beginning is the only way to go imho.

If I recall right, when being asked questions by your friends, the first option makes leveling faster at 1-50 and slower after, the middle makes it even throughout, and the last option will make leveling faster after level 50 but slower before that. Although I'm pretty sure I've done plenty of crazy combo answers in my cranky life and it didn't seem to matter much.

I never found hitting the rare truffles to be that difficult. I usually do it in the final world, forget what it's called at the moment. There's a wide open area near one of the final save points where rare truffles spawn. You just have to get your timing down. Jump hit land. Jump hit land. Don't do huge jumps, just small ones. You want to jump because Sora will uppercut the truffle, sending it higher in the air and giving you more time. It takes rhythm. At first I tried doing it in Neverland but the controls there are awkward and I couldn't do it.

You forgot an optional boss in there, mb, was it on purpose? (SPOILER)Sephiroth was the hardest boss in the game for me, so hard that my brother didn't even believe I beat him. So I had to do it again to show him. :p

It's true that he's optional...but he's also, technically, the enemy in the Platinum Match in the Coliseum.

I always felt when choosing the leveling speed that if you just want to finish the game, choose the first options, If you want the secret ending choose the second and if you want to collect and defeat everything choose the third.

Also I always pick the shield now because you get Gaurd alot earlier

I loved KH! It is far better than KH2. I would definately say that Neverland is the best world. The only part of the game that I replace Donald or Goofy (I'd replace Donald) was in Tarzan's world before you get cure because Tarzan has a healing technique.

I love this game, haven't played it for at least half a year. I've done everything except getting to level 100, peeking at the girls underwear and beating the three big optional bosses. I always get very close to beating Kurt and Sephy, I just don't ration my items good enough, but I always get down over by phantom. Before I know it, Peter and Donald are dead and I've got a countdown on my head. Anybody got a good strategy for him?

He's pretty easy once you know what to do, it's basically just a race against time.

Whatever happens, YOU ALWAYS ALWAYS CAST STOP/RA/GA ON THE CLOCK TO STOP THE COUNTDOWN. Always do this no matter what you're in the middle of.
Donald is your best friend next to your magic here, make sure he stays alive and has the highest MagicPower possible.

Other than that, it's all about how fast you are.

I believe Goofy is better for the phantom fight. Donald doesnt know what magic to cast most of the time and Goofy has MP Gift

I would definitely do this because:

A: I'm not doing anything for the next week and a half, &
B: I love this game, and haven't played it in ages

The only thing that holds me back is I lost the game. But I'll order one off eBay tonight and catch up with you guys.

Gahh, I finished my new file of KH just before this month. Still, I guess there's always my new file on KH2 to finish. :mad:

Also, I hate Donald. He wastes his MP and I refuse to squander ethers on him. However, when new characters come in, I usually don't let them replace either Donald or Goofy because I want Donald and Goofy to get to 100 asap.

One thing that I don't like about KH is that fighting (bosses, especially, in the latter parts of the game) becomes so systematic. Even (SPOILER)Sephiroth becomes ridiculously easy after the first two times. Then again, KH was made for younger audiences, so the fighting can't be too difficult. :confused:

Donald is my best friend. Damn it, I hate him. TBH, I usually use the Disney Character rather than Donald. But I'll try it.

Anyway, I think the best looking keyblade is the ultimate weapon. It looks awesome.

Damn, now I have to find my copy.
Before I left it lying somewhere in my room about a year ago, I was on a mad quest to get every synthable item (while being on the harder, enemies drop items less often mode which is liek choice two?) then I started that on KH2.
Something I loved doing is crating the "Ups" that raise your base tstats.
Did that a lot in KH2 (Got SOra to like 100 base strength).
Mainly I just want to beat Sephiroth in like three hits with the weakest weapon.
I think I had logged 163 hours on that game.
Oh god, I did the same thing with KH.
I think it was like 150+ hours.
My god I have no life.

Oh God, the fight with AnsemRiku... I think I watched that "Kairi's inside me?!" movie 100+ times...

Who the hell would want to replace Donald or Goofy? They're both awsome, I never used another character.

I always use Ariel! I wish I could use Sebastian, too. He's tough-looking.

Goofy is a turtle in Atlantica, yet he still manages to beat the crap out of a giant octopus lady.

True, but Goofy's also several times larger than Sebastian. Surely that would account for some of the damage that Goofy in tortoise form can inflict? But I rest my case; fighting with Sebastian would be so badass-ly stupid that it would make this game far better.

Actually, all characters get EXP and it's divided evenly throughout the entire game, even in Destiny Islands. So, if you got Sora to 100 there, Donald, Goofy, Tarzan, etc. would all be lvl 97-100 as well.

Oof, all this thread has me itching bust out KH now. I don't think I did much synthesizing last time I played. Also I've never beaten the two side bosses. I think I came close to having a mental blowout fighting one of them, so never again.

I never get rid of Donald or Goofy, the sounds they make during fights are hilarious.

Tbh, it should have been obvious to most rpg fans that its pronounced tedus rather than tiedus cause in japanese, i's sounds like e's.

Sephiroth is mega badass. I wonder why they made him really easy in kh2, you would think they would make him harder

I just remembered again, now that I'm playing, why I'm not crazy about Deep Jungle: the whole time Sora's there he must run back and forth between the cliff area and the tree house, but one visit to each of those areas feels like enough. I think this is the order: tree house -> camp -> vines -> tree house -> camp -> cliff -> tree house -> cliff -> camp -> tree tops -> tree house -> cliff -> waterfall cavern.

It's kind of annoying. >=(

The world isn't much to look at either -- since the walls look like they're made of flattened, two-dimensional bunches of trees -- but I like its musical theme! Oh, and I hate fighting the monkey Heartless.

One other thing I do like is the scene that occurs in the waterfall cavern, because it's a sweet tip-off of things to come.

For all the spells, you mean the -ga level for all right? I'm assuming this but just making sure :p

Also I really enjoy the music video for Hikari, the theme song for the Japanese version of the game. If you have never seen the video, it is not what you are expecting, but it a really pretty song. :p

Yep! Most of the spells are learned simply by completing story events, but one or two require something extra, I think?

Finished half of one challenge. Snapped a couple shots of Selphie's panties. :bigsmile:

Also grabbed the protect chain and just finished the second set of items to collect. Really useful during the 3 on 1 fight with Tidus, Selphie and Wakka. If you lock onto Tidus or Selphie you can smack them with Wakka's ball, sometimes stunning them and making the fight more manageable. Also I'm playing on Expert. :p

you made that list purty. I don't know how you did that. I can participate because I have a dead PS2 and no money.

I have been playing a lot and I just finished Neverland. I took some more pictures, and I finished the first challenge! Jane's panties caught, but they are really hard to see. Also got another set from someone most would not want, but smacking her is so much fun during the battle. The punishment for trying to sneak a peek is probably decapitation. :(

Also in the third district of Traverse Town I never looked at the fountain before so I looked at it. It's a nice easter egg. Look at it in game for yourself, the picture does not do it justice. :p

Also finished the 10 postcard sidequest in Traverse Town. If you are going after all the trinities, in deep jungle there is a green one in one of the treetop areas. It is almost impossible to see it because it blends in very will with the green tree. Also had a group of White mushrooms spawn and got the Fire, Blizzard and Thunder Arts. No mystery goo yet though. :(

I did the first segment of Hollow Bastion until you get the ability to use White Trinity, then I left to do some collecting/get a lot of random sidequests done. Got the Gravity arts and Aero arts from a couple spawns of white mushrooms, and even got a mystery goo from a generous one. Also got all the trinity marks and sealed the keyhole to the 100 acre woods. Lady Luck is a fantastic keyblade that a lot of people miss. Also finished the Phil, Pegasus and Hercules cups with solo Sora.

Anybody know where white mushrooms spawn that perform the request motion for Stop? I know Cure is in Deep Jungle Campsite but Stop is the only one I have never seen :( Aero is in Halloween Town Graveyard, Gravity in Agrabah, Treasure room in the cave of Wonders. Fire, Thunder and Blizzard appear everywhere. Also still need to rescue a few more puppies. Currently have 81/99.

I think Deep Jungle camp is the spawn area for Stop White Mushrooms.

5 hrs 30 min and 30 seconds in.
At level 11 and already have the keyblade.
I counted and there are 137 heartless on the island, at 1 exp. each.
I calculated and figured it would take me roughly 722 sweeps of the island to get to level 50.
I can kill a shadow in two hits at this point.
I pray when i become strong enough to get them in one it will be easier.

I had decided to continue the game to try and obtain everything and simply save to a different file, swapping back to the islands and power leveling when I could.
Alas, tragedy.
I saved over the wrong file.
Now I am forced to restart at an earlier point.

However, opportunity presents itself in the form of Selphie.
A nice little trick has me gaining 2 exp. every 6 seconds, far faster than before.

Still the first day so when I get strong enough, I might switch to battling Riku (he gives 5 exp. upon defeat, however at my current strength, Selphie's trick is still quicker.) upon reaching the twenty's.
I've also steeled myself to obtain 99 pretty stones, but that will come later.

Oh my god, I would love to join in on this so much :(
Unfortunately due to my spiteful :bou::bou::bou::bou:e of a brother (we fell out and he scratched up my copy) I cannot :( :( Mega sad at this as its on my top 3 favorite games ever lists.

Just been watching the Simple and clean and Passion/sanctuary vids on youtube and now im even more gutted! Need to find a copy for cheap asap!

Well, I'm officially kinda bored this summer. Time to start on this, hopefully gonna get a couple challenges done tonight.

Sucks they don't sell for much (5 munny, what the hell...)
Have moved on from Selphie to Wakka.
Luckily I found that keeping a little less than half the beach distance between me and him allows me to hit his balls back (heh heh, ball whackin') without them hitting him.
Most I got in a row so far was 123 exp.(I didn't count hits cause of the 2 exp. balls he throws)
This is easiest way to level until I can kill Riku in a single combo.

I don't have a working PS2 atm, and although it's on my 'to buy' list, it's not a high enough priority just yet.

Kingdom Hearts is still my favourite game of all time though.

Finished my speed run in 5 hours 47 minutes! Fastest run by me ever!

I didnt think that was possible with all the unskipable cutscenes :eek:

I thought of another Insane thing to do, which I think I am going to attempt: Attain 100 Strength, Defense, and AP with all characters, including world specific characters.

I know for a fact I'm doing it with Sora, but idk if I'll succeed with everyone, however I'm sure one of you psycho kids will...

Beat the behemoth at Hollow Bastian and got all 99 puppies. Finished the Hades cup with all three and again with Sora Solo, then beat the Ice Titan and Kurt Zisa. Also went through End of the World and beat up Chernabog. Next up is beating the Phantom. :p

Don't forget after beating the behemoth at Hollow Bastian go to the library and talk to Aerith for the Ansem reports and then again to get Curaga. :D

Ultima Keyblade, Finished all the time trials in the Coliseum, Still have to take out Sephy Kurt and Phantom, and still missing 5 gummi ship designs. All trinities, all puppies, all treasure chests except the 12 at the clock tower, not gonna bother with them because of my lack of a sense of time. Lvl 81 Sora, started 2 days after I first posted to say I was gonna start, lol... I need something better to do with my time. Next on the agenda: Smack around Sephy until lvl 100, then Kurt, then Phantom, then I get the last missing gummi designs, and finally max my AP, Str, and Def. I've got a busy time ahead of me.

EDIT: Forewent the stat farming, some other crazy yoohoo can do that, but I did beat the 3 secret bosses, hit the mushroom 100 times, get all the arts, mastered jungle slider, hit lvl 100, get the last few gummi designs, and build a cool one myself to boot. It looks like a battle cruiser from Starcraft, and hits just about as hard. Beat the game, now I guess I wait for EoKHII.

Well, we're pulling into the final week of this, so get you challenges completed now. We're hopefully going to start EoKH:II for July. Then we get to have the lvl 100 Roxas challenge, yay!

I'm a little late to the eyeson plays but HEY i'm getting there in the game! Well not really, just have the first few worlds done before you warp. I love this game.

I hate though that when i'm hopping on stuff my other party members can hop up too and knock me off. It's irritating if i'm trying to make a jump :/
