Do you have a specific song, mp3 or jingle saved as your main cellphone ringtone? Do you know of anyone who has a particularly hilarious or amusing ringtone?
Mine right now is the chorus for Nothing Better by The Postal Service.

My default ringtone is the acoustic version of Foo Fighters - Everlong! I love it.
Recently, I was able to complete the heathen sacrificial rite required to put a ringtone on my phone and added this for a specific person. Most people have this as their ringer.
For text messages
I have the chorus of Naturally by Selena Gomez ♥ The Scene right now. XD
My brother has the South Park version of Poker Face sung by Cartman, though. XD He gets a kick out of that.
For my text message alert I think I have the sound of a sheep baaing xD I have no idea what my ringtone is though as I constantly have my phone on silent.
Why would you people have ringtones for text messages?
Anyway, I currently have this as my default ringtone.
Atm mine's Roses by Poets of the Fall :)
Call me nerdy but I've got the original MGS codec sound as a ringtone. No-one hardly ever knows it's mgs anyway, and I'm diggin it.
As a text ringtone i've got some morsecode bleeps.
I had a text message ringtone for about 10 minutes, and then I went nuts because I hated the sound of it. I just go with the standard beep/chime. I like the iPhone triple chime for texts and push alerts and stuff.
I usually have "Heimsdalgate Like a Promethean Curse" by Of Montreal as my ringtone.
But right now I have "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" by the Darkness.
JUSTLISTENTOTHERHYTMOFMYHEART.
Text tones. For the same reason of having ring tones. To listen to something while people are annoying you. And I really love the fact that my phone lets me have the same variety for both options. So I've got half a dozen of each
My ringtone for safe calls is the crystal prelude
Default ringtone (i.e. annoying people) is Super Smash Brother's version of Dr Mario
Work calling me is Knuckles little hip-hop rhythm from Sonic 3
And... right now I think that's it for ringtones
My main text tones for friends are:
Safe group of texts are Zelda Ocarina of Time's get item melody
Default/undefined tone is Kirobeiniki/Tetris done on a harpsichord, really awesome
One friend has Kirby's SSBM theme. Another has Mario 2 world one's melody. Another has the music from one of the stages in TMNT Turtles in Time. Another has Shining Force 2 overworld music. Another has one of the love themes from Baldur's Gate 2. Another has an OCRemix version of the Sailor Moon theme.
Annoying people get Mario's death melody, and Mario's time is running out warning sound
And oh I forgot, my ringtone for home is a really awesome/beautiful remix of the Monkey Island theme [img]http://home.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/heart.gif[/img]
I think that's it
my text ringtone is like ten seconds long xD I did get sick of it when stu's phone was bugging out and duplicating texts to me for hours.
Ringtone - Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't) by All Time Low.
Texts - Love Like Woe by The Ready Set.
My ringtone used to be West Coast Smoker by Fall Out Boy. IDK why, but it made me lol.
I probably wouldn't be a text tone fanatic if my phone didn't allow me to set different tones for different people so I instantly know who's texting me, which is remarkably convenient. A lot of phones don't let you do that. So the novelty of having a tone at all probably wears off quickly. Mine's more for convenience than it is for any kind of flare. It doesn't display the name on the front screen. And vibrating won't tell me if its worth reading or it can wait. So I use tones since I have the option :]
I suppose that makes sense then, my phone tells me who it is though. :p
I was thinking of that for my phone, but in the end I decided to go with Proto Man's whistle.Quote:

I couldn't think of any other video game songs/sounds that would be appropriate in non gaming society.
My phone is on vibrate 99% of the time. But bored one day and on a whim I made a ringtone for the intro to Lacuna Coil's "Heaven's a Lie," which I quite like.
Someone at my law school has the Power Ranger's beeper sound as their text ringtone. I loved that so much I almost made it for myself, but lazy. Plus, like I said, 99% my phone's on vibrate anyway.
I was in a restaurant once and heard someone with the Final Fantasy Victory theme as their ringtone. I found them and we had an hour long conversation.
Yeah.
Nerdin' it up.
I use the chorus of this song as my ringtone.
And the back-end of Serah's Theme from FFXIII serves as my message notification tune.
Right now I have a couple of melodies from Clock Tower 3, but I'm thinking of replacing them with some Silent Hill 2 acoustic ones. Acoustic version of Promise, to be exact.
Never Gonna Give You Up.
As im currently rocking a super mario live theme for my HTC desire right now ive got the matching super mario music as my ringtone and my notification is the sound that plays when you finish the level in old school marios!
Things have to be matching dammit or its just not right!!
The Swingers - Counting The Beat has been my ringtone for a very long time and will probably remain that way.
Right now my ring tone is "The Next Room" by Neon Trees and my text tone is "Here We Are, Juggernaut" by Coheed and Cambria.
My phone's been shut off forever, but before that:
YouTube - Boom Boom Satellites - Push Eject
My phone wolf whistles when I get a call or a message. It's pretty awesome as sometimes when my phone is ringing near pretty girls you sometimes see them start looking round angrily until I suddenly whip my phone out and answer it. This has led to some interesting conversations.
I decided to test out using a texttone, I'm using the Super Marios Bros power up sound.
Does it occur to you that some people just like music? On the other hand I had to leave mine on vibrate because 90% of the time I was either in a situation where loudness wouldn't be tolerated or there was too much loudness and I wouldn't be able to hear it.
Nas - Hero
4'33'' by John Cage
I tend to miss a lot of calls.
TetrisTheme.mp3
My ringtone is the theme to Doogie Howser. This version.
Right now, my ringtone is set to Hendrix's cover of "All Along The Watchtower."

Oh, I see now that I've read it again. I misread it as all "anyone with a song for their rigntone is obnoxious" which is a peeve of mine. I mean if it goes off in the theater or something that's pretty annoying but I don't need any dirty looks when it goes off outside or in my own home :|
