I haven't gotten rep points in TWO AND A HALF MONTHS. Guys, I'm jonesin' here.

Let's think of new rep levels. There are way too many of us who are Beyond Repute.

I think one should be

Godly Unne.

There are girls on this forum too, sexist.

I think because everyone could only give one rep point at a time at first, it seemed to take forever to get rep so we set the levels down a ton. Then those who had gotten some rep started getting more reputation power and were giving like 10 points at a time and people's points started rising exponentially, and now we have a good few members who give out like 100 rep points every time they rep someone, which would pretty much take a new member to the highest level in one click.

Edit: okay someone changed it, so more like three clicks now.

How much rep does one need for such rep powers?

I agree, I've been at beyond repute for ages. I almost made a thread about this myself.

How is rep power determined?

Wait, with the new EoFF where the rep levels on our profile? I forgot about them, and when I went to go looked, I somehow did not catch them. :confused:

You can see your rep if you go to settings.

I wanted to answer this with obnoxious precision, so I went to check and then I forgot what this thread was called and which forum it was in and it took me forever to find it.

Current settings are:
Rep power = [ floor(reputation / 10) + floor(days since registration / 5000) + floor(post count / 10000) + 1 ]

In other words, it's pretty much based on your own reputation, being roughly 1/10th of it. You also don't have any rep power if you've never posted.

also, can it be a profile selection whether to see reputation in the postbit? I liked it in Hello Fantasy until someone removed it.

All my rep comes from badasses like Eric, Julian and Wes. Yes I did put Wes in there thank you very much.

I agree that rep levels are boring, as in more need to exist after "beyond repute." It still amuses me to check my rep comments every once-in-a-while to see what messages people have left me (which is by far the best part of the rep system anyway).

yes! I love reading/leaving messages for witty things, but I also enjoy the little levels names, which is why I'm promoting this brainstorming session

I tried to think of new rep levels, but I fell asleep. If you guys think of good ones, I am down to change them.

1000-5000   {name} could eat a moogle and still be seen as a shining beacon of light.

5001-9998   The mention of {name} brings hushed whispers throughout the town.

9999        {name} likes to dance (~^.^)~ and earned the almost 10000 achievement worth 15 points!

10000-20000 If you get {name} to rep you, you will get about 1000 rep points, no lie!

20001-30000 {name} is somewhere between stunning and stellar.

30001-40000 {name} is rumored to be the 5th warrior of light.

40001+      This {name} are reputation very high.

I didn't really realise there was rep, let alone the fact that I actually have some!

How can you tell when someone is beyond repute?

Since returning to EoFF this is the one feature I have no idea about and haven't discovered. WHAT THE SMURF IS IT? WHAT POINTS!?

we should have ranks instead for avs and helpfulness and overall rep

and all new members should have the title:
"A BIG FAT NOOB"
for a month after joining

the first part, eveyone should rate avatars and people's helpfulness, and whomever is most helpful would be ranked 1

instead of banning all new members, we should give them titles that say

A BIG FAT NOOB

for the first month or until they reach 30 posts
