Ahh. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, probably.
Honourable mentions: Youth in Revolt, Black Swan, Inception, Toy Story 3, The Social Network, Love and Other Drugs, TRON: Legacy and How to Train Your Dragon. Due Date and Dinner for Schmucks were funny, too. And Easy A was cute! ETA: And Alice in Wonderland was pretty if nothing else.
I'll have to say scott pilgrim too
that movie was amazing
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Black Swan.
In no order:
Another Year
Winter's Bone
The Social Network
True Grit
Creation
Toy Story 3
Easy A and How to Train Your Dragon were pleasant surprises too.
Number one for me was "Legend of the Guardians: The Owles of Ga'hool".
In no particular order:
- Toy Story 3
- How to Train Your Dragon
- The Crazies
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow, Part 1
- Despicable Me
To mention just a few.
The Social Network or Black Swan.
Inception
Toy Story 3
Kick-Ass
Machete
How could I forget machete?
Inception was an easy win for me.
Scott Pilgrim of course :smash:
I really regret missing Scott Pilgrim when it was in theatres now. Really wanted to see it but never made the time.
Isn't it available on DVD or BR now?
Black Swan.
Shutter Island
TRON: Legacy - I was really surprised cause I thought the movie would be really awful and mostly be a poor attempt of garnering the nostalgia factor. While part of that is definetly true... it turned out to be a pretty cool film and I was happy to see several cast members return but most of all it gets props for having one of the best original soundtracks I've heard in a movie for years but I'm bias cause I smurfing love Daft Punk.
Beyond that, I didn't really watch too many movies last year, and the few I saw certainly didn't garner much more than a rental vibe from me, though that Disney Rapunzel film wasn't so bad. For Scott Pilgrim, read the books, they are infinitely better, and don't feel like a typical Michael Cera flick, which is a good thing for me. :p
How to train your dragon
Tangled
Harry Potter DH part 1
Scott Pilgrim
The Other Guys
I haven't seen inception yet so I can't say that was great or not.
