Gaming Hero Tournament (Finals! Solid Snake vs Rydia)

Alright, we finally have ourselves a tournament of gaming's best heroes, as chosen by EoFF, or the few that actually nominated. There are eight separate divisions of 16 heroes each, with a total of 128 in the entire tournament. We will be voting strictly in this thread, so if you intend to see who would win this tournament, please decide to subscribe to this thread to keep up. While you vote, you are free to make any comments about match-ups, as I love to hear what you think, and I'm sure others would too!

Any rules? Of course, let's see...

1. Vote for one per each numbered pair of heroes in each division.
2. If you plan to not vote for either hero, leave a blank next to the number.
3. Comments can be left next to your votes or under each division brackets.

I must say, 6 of the last remaining 8 heroes in the tournament are all from various Final Fantasy games, save for Solid Snake and Big Boss, both coming from the Metal Gear Solid series. This makes for an interesting turnabout in this tournament. So the likelihood that we'll see a winner from a FF game is very high. Agent Proto, sorry to be nitpicking, but is that a picture of Big Boss in your official final post? As far as I know Solid Snake never lost his eye :0 Plus, he's carrying an M16, whereas Solid Snake either uses a FAMAS or M4 depending on the game, right?

Well, if it is Big Boss like you said, I just recently replaced the image with a proper image of Solid Snake. To be honest, I couldn't tell between the two. :P
