I'm looking forward to making my mother's/grandma's meatloaf and mashed potatoes this week on Thanksgiving, as well as some sweet treats: BROWNIES and BUCKEYES.

I made hot cocoa last night for the first time in long time (I really like this recipe: Hot Cocoa Done Right). I'm craving a cup right now, and a slice of Phillipe's pumpkin cream pie to go with it. Mmm.

It's not getting any colder here you hemispherist! Sausages and prawns are a typical australian christmas meal. Also ham. Coleslaw and other salady types as well.

Cherries!!! Christmas in Australia means cherry season, so awesome. Also yes, seafood will be eaten in abundance.

I'm working on Thanksgiving so I'm having whatever they've got in the breakroom. For Christmas, well... I'm currently living alone with my dad and brother and neither of them know how to cook, and I'm too poor to visit my mom, so probably pizza or something. (Which I'm okay with.)

My favorite holiday-themed food is actually Halloween-themed: roasted pumpkin seeds!

"Christmas food" here in Denmark is practically an art form itself.

Rice pudding is beyond comprehension. It is insanely delicious with cinnamon, sugar and butter on top.

I'll probably make fudge again this year! Homemade fudge is the best. I also keep a bottle of Glögg handy at this time of year.

Aside from that I'll be spending Christmas with the family as usual, and mooch off their cooking skills.

Do you make chocolate fudge or peanut-butter fudge? Or marshmallow-chocolate fudge? Or maybe even strawberry fudge?

I saw blueberry cheesecake fudge recently! Mmmm!

My boyfriend cooked me Thanksgiving food about a week ago because I've never had decent Thanksgiving food before. It was so delicious. I loved the potatoes. ;_;

I make chocolate fudge! But I might try something else too this year.

My grandma is having a big Thanksgiving dinner with the neighbors and she put me in charge of dessert! I'm gonna make peanut butter pie and heath pie and pumpkin cheese cake!

It's so easy! You pretty much just mix a big glob of peanut butter with a big glop of cream cheese and put it on a pie crust.

Peanut butter never ceases to be amazing!

That sounds delicious and I want five.

Thanksgiving is gonna be me and my dad this year. My sister might visit with her baby daddy, but it's going to be weird because I have to work 6am - noon that day. So basically dad will cook by himself, I'll come home, eat, and go to bed because I have to be up at 3am.

I don't know if I'm going to have a Thanksgiving meal this Thursday. It sounds really disappointing, and it is.

I'll go through at least five cans of cranberry sauce on my own during the holidays. I keep it in the shape of the can and slice it.

I would eat a can a day, but that stuff is pretty high-calorie. So good though.

The holidays happen when it's cold and when it's cold, it means I can have hot cocoa.

So I made some from scratch with a friend ^_^

It has marshmallow gingerbread men. Also caramel and vanilla and of course chocolate! AND whip cream obviously heh. So bad for you but soooo tasty.

I'm helping my mom cook for Thanksgiving. However, I am not the biggest Turkey fan so :I.

The company I work for gave each employee an enormous 10 lb crumb cake and a gallon of apple cider. I've been cutting pieces off to give to friends and loved ones and I still have too much of it. ;A; mmmmm.

I've never bothered to help make Thanksgiving dinner before, and this year I'll be doing it basically by myself!

I just finished making a pecan pie! It smells delicious and I can't wait to eat it.

Going to my aunt's house for Thanksgiving and I'm bringing a few sides. Maple glazed brussels sprouts, sauteed mushrooms, and corn bread.

I love holiday cooking!

Mmm, pecan pie is the best especially with nutmeg ice cream. Indian Pudding with nutmeg ice cream is also yummy.

Me and a buddy got talking at work the other day and worked up a list of ten separate dishes we're gonna crank out tomorrow. It's gonna be... fantastic.

Personally I look forward to leftover turkey sandwiches more than the actual meal. Salt, pepper, Mayo, leftover turkey on toast. Ecstacy.

Im making pumpkin cheesecake...but I just realized that I used 1 less egg than I was supposed too. We'll see how this disaster turns out.

I work with them all day. micromanaging was my answer to having a freak out about the daunting task ahead of me!

Do you suppose buckeyes are a Kentucky thing? Because we make them too, but none of my friends from TN have them for the holidays.
I've been helping cook Thanksgiving dinner since I was old enough to start peeling potatoes. (8 yrs old man, 8 yrs old)
The last few years I've been given the task of making the potato salad, and all of the pies.
This year, I didn't actually make anything. All of the stuff that was made today was made by my aunts. I suppose I'll pitch in tomorrow.
Generally, every year we have, a turkey (this year we have 2), a ham, stuffing, corn, green beans, peas, rolls, potato salad, deviled eggs, mac 'n cheese, mashed potatoes. And of course desert foods: buckeyes, 2 cheesecakes, 2 chocolate pies cold, 2 chocolate pies baked, and a cake.
Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners are a big thing with my family. It's a time when we all get together. And there is a whooollleeee lot of us! xD

The pies did not go as planned. They are still delicious, but I didn't have enough whipped cream to top them. So it's just the filling xD

Thanksgiving has turned into baby day. Hurray!

I'm currently eating pumpkin pie and Hux can kiss my shiny metal ass.

Does Hux have some weird aversion to deliciousness?

I had breakfast/lunch of leftovers and it was glorious. I will probably eat this way for the next three days.

turned out nice!

Tonight I tried out a recipe for homemade apple cider. It's really simple -- you just boil sliced apples and a sliced orange with some sugar and spices for a few hours. It smelled amazing, but the flavor was too strong (although good) in the end. I shouldn't have let the water boil down as low as it did, I think.

Luckily, I made a much smaller batch than the recipe was written for! Will try again soon.

My personal definition of "making food" is "putting something in the microwave", but I'm not gonna lie, that is ADORABLE.
