You used up all the glue on purpose! (Chirstmas Card Swap!)

Yep! Hurray! Stuff in the mail.

And since I'm quitting my job I will have plenty of time to get my cards together. I PROMISE I WILL SEND OUT CARDS.

Here are the rules and regulations:

1) Deadline for participation is December 2 at 6 p.m. EST. If you haven't sent me an address at that point you will not be participating in the official swap. I'll be sending the list of addresses to participants that evening. Please remember to give about two weeks mailing time for international EoFFers, if you intend to use standard mail. This means international cards should be in the mail no later than December 10. So do your international cards first!

I'm sorry we're a little behind. I suck.

2) No Ralph Wiggum-Syndrome You send everybody a card or you don't participate. This isn't an event to creep on your EoFF crush under the guise of forum participation. If you want to send something to individuals I suggest you PM them yourselves. If cost is an issue, remember that anything counts as a card. Except anthrax. Jerks.

3) Which brings me to another great point. It's totes a crime to send threats or dangerous objects in the mail. If you harass someone or send dangerous stuff I have no problem giving your information over to them so they can complain about you. Don't be an ass. This is about being nice to each other. Spread JOY and GOOD CHEER, mothersmurfers. Also, don't send objects in standard envelopes, because they'll probably get removed or destroyed.

4) Don't spam up PM boxes with your addresses to people who post in the thread. All addresses go to foa, then I send them out. Unless, like I said before, you want to arrange individual swaps. In that case gtfo this thread, duh.

5) Delete the address list once your done. No need to have it all floating around out there. Also don't use it for your own nefarious purposes. Also understand you're putting trust into the people here by doing this. foa and EoFF aren't responsible if you pick up a crazy stalker. But I will totally call the cops for you if you do.

6) You don't have to use your real name or your actual physical address, but the address you give must be one at which you receive mail. We don't want to send your neighbors Christmas cards.

7) Have a lot of crazy good fun! Yay!

The theme should be "Holiday in Cambodia".

Or The Silverhawks.

I have a lot of left over Christmas cards. I guess that means I'm in.

It is like a card trading game where you hand out what are essentially commons to you and receive ultra-rare cards back. Plus, if they do not look nifty on the mantle, you can always use them for fuel.

I remember a card full of glitter from a certain EOFF member to me once got destroyed by the security services on the grounds of the fact that they thought there could be terrorist/harmful materials inside. I got the front of the envelope delivered to me with bits of glitter all over it in a plastic baggy and a note saying "sorry we destroyed your christmas card, we did it for security purposes." So funny I actually didn't mind missing out on my glitter bombs!

Nothing says Merry Christmas more than anthrax snowflakes.

Can I get cards but not give them?

Because driving to my post office is annoying. It's downtown. Crazy people like to walk in the streets outside of it. I like to naps after work and the post office closes early. I can keep justifying my laziness if you want. :)

Well my cards are brought but they're going to be a little late (possibly) there's no way for me to send them until at least the 13th because of a utility company being a bunch of idiots and taking £97 out of my account TWICE for the same bill. Dumb smurfers, still I will send mine out but bear in mind mine may arrive a little late :(

I have seven complete today. And yeah, it did take me all afternoon but they're all handmade so shut the hell up.

I haven't owned a smurfing mailbox in seven years! Not every living space is a smurfing white two-level house with a pretty picket fence and a smurfing pastoral mailbox with a smurfing barn painted on it.

That reminds me, I need to get a new mailbox. The door doesn't always close properly and I think some of my mail blows out. Also last week we put the garbage can right up on the mail box so the stupid garbage truck knocked it loose :(

My cards will be going in the post tomorrow morning most likely, they will arrive late I am afraid but I've had to sort some financial bull-trout out.

Also I have a small feeling now of what it must be like to receive a howler. I knew it couldn't really be a howler and that it was unlikely you'd splurge on music cards for so many people, but the vivid red and the large letters on the envelope was very intimidating.

The mail came late, and I now possess cards from fire_of_avalon and Cim.

I like the top center present, Cim, and the smudge; you are tops.

My only card so far has been one from Lynx and Kali which is awesome btw thanks! Considering just how trout the British Royal Mail is at delivering my post, I will receive my Christmas cards sometime around Valentines day. Eric's will probably turn up having been blown to smithereens by the security services and in response I will have to frame the charred remnants and put them on my wall along with the apology for blowing up a perfectly harmless Christmas card...Again.

I haven't even sent mine out yet. I keep forgetting to take them to work with me :|

I have received one from Shion, I think she may have gone all shy on me because it was signed without a message, I was hoping for pure poetry about the love of clean shaven men and how I had broken her heart by growing a mo. Alas I was to be disappointed, I cried myself to sleep.

How many participants were there? Because of this event, I am always excited to check my mail.

I finally got Shion's, foa's, and Lynx & Kali's card! Everyone but Shion is a smurfing creeper and needs to start putting return addresses on their letters. Foa's was super duper specific to me! Lynx & Kali's was super cute and shion just wrote her name in it. xD

ShlupQuack, than you very much; the drawings are what make it great. Kalilung likes the glitter. She, of course, would.

Cim, has it been that much of a challenge to identify from whom these cards came?

When there's so little worry whether a card is coming back to me or not, it just doesn't seem worth it to expend the effort.

Why did yours get sent back, G13? If your cards are fancy, maybe the weight is the issue. Did you get the correct stamps for sending things abroad? The postal service here will send anything anywhere as long as you have enough postage and a sufficiently correct address.

I don't have a mailbox, just a mail slot on the front door that I pin them to. I get the feeling he thinks they're cards from other people and keeps slipping them through rather than taking them. I'm going to the post office tomorrow.

In related news, I don't know if my abroad cards will make it. xD I just used cheap Christmas stamps.

So, I went to the stamp store, and ordered stamps made of money and promises of forever, but they only had promises of forever and it was too late cause I already bought them. So I need to get myself to a better stamp store so my friends in the not united states.

I have received another couple of cards today and yesterday. Rachael (Miss Lulu, not part of the swap but sent me one anyhow because she just :love:'s me that much) Ed's arrived to me as well though if I hadn't recognized the return address on it I might have mistaken it for a card from Face as there was no signature and finally today Amanda's arrived. Amanda's and Rachael's made me smile the most, Rachael's for the personal message inside and Amanda's for the scarily accurate if slightly too sloped of jaw and shoulder portrait of me though I'm semi-disappointed she didn't go for the Mullet Steve of sims 3 fame.

Mine went out a few days ago. Shouldn't be long now before you have an incredibly late Christmas card from yours truly! :jess:

Okay I promise I will send them out like, tomorrow or early next week. I just have like, one finishing touch to add to one card and the rest have been ready to go since like a week before Christmas :|
