EoFF Pictionary 2 - Sign up for the next round! Few spots remain.

I'd ask qwerty for permission to steal his game, but he hasn't posted since September. Hey, don't look at me like that! He even deleted his avatar, I can only assume it's permanent.

Basically this game is a mix between Pictionary and Telephone. Pictionary where you draw something and somebody else tries to guess what the hell it is, and Telephone where you start out with a sentence and whisper it to someone else, who whispers it to someone else and you wait and see what the sentence turns into.

Game Mechanics:
Here's typically how a round would go. Person A thinks up something he wants Person B to draw, for example "Alien Hillary Clinton parade" Person B then has to draw this and send it to person C. Person C will then have to write a PM to Person D with what he thinks the picture is trying to portray. Person D then has to draw what person C wrote. This goes on until Person A gets a drawing back from Person J.

tl;dr version:
If you get a piece of text in a PM, draw it and pass it on. If you get a drawing in a PM, write it in text and pass it on.

Very important part:
Label your PM's correctly so we know in which order they're supposed to be when we post the chain in the end. When you're starting up the game by sending out your first PM, check your letter in the list below, and label it accordingly. I would label my first PM "A-1" for instance. When you get a PM from someone else, keep the letter as is and up the number by one. If I send you A-1, you would change it to A-2 before you pass it on.

Also, basic rules of EoFF applies, no sexual content.

Wow, I suppose that means we're full up then! I must say I didn't expect sign up to only last 13 hours. From what I can see we have many excellent drawers as well, so this is definitely bound for epicness. I suppose we'll be starting up tomorrow then! keep an eye open for another post tomorrow. Also, since I thought sign up would last a little longer, I told Del Murder that nothing much would happen before 3rd of January, he's out of town until then, so nothing much will happen with stack F until then. But hey, that's just a four days ahead, and everyone else can still proceed with the other 9 stacks. Shouldn't be a problem at all.

Until tomorrow, take a look at your designated letter in the first post list, this is the letter you'll be labelling your first PM with. Also take a note of the person below you on the list and the person above you. The person below you is the person you'll send all your messages to, and the person above you is the person you'll always receive messages from. Person J, or Freya, will be sending messages to Person A, which is me.

Hmm, neither. You're not supposed to change the letter.

If you receive A-1 from someone, you change it to A-2 before you pass it on. If you Receive F-3 from someone, you change it to F-4 before you pass it on. That way A-1 through A-10 will all contain drawings and interpretations of the same chain in the end, same with F-1 through F-10.

Yeah, you have to think up one phrase yourself to start up the game. That phrase will go through 9 other members and come back to you.

Yes, draw the phrase I just sent you and send it to the next person as B-2. Don't forget to start one yourself by sending a text phrase as C-1.

I don't know why I'm having such a hard time understanding this but there is a lot of trout clogging my brain up in real life recently.

No worries! Ask until everything is clear. For C-1, your own stack that you're starting up, you have to write a phrase and send it to Psychotic labelled C-1. No drawing involved here, Psychotic is supposed to draw the piece of text you send him.

You are always going to send PM's to Psychotic, nobody else. If you receive a drawing from Agent Proto, send a text to Psychotic describing what you see. If you receive a piece of text from Agent Proto, make that piece of text into a drawing and send it to Psychotic. Hopefully that clears things up!

And what do I do with the phrase that Proto sent me? As in, who do I send it to and label it?

You send everything to me.

Just add a number onto the PM.

Example: You get a piece of text saying "Giant hippo" under the name F-4. You draw a giant hippo and send it to me as F-5.
Example 2: You get a picture of what looks like a priest suffering constipation under the name A-2. You write "Priest suffering constipation" and send it to me as A-3.

I decided to draw something on paper and then scan it.

After drawing it, I discover my trusty old scanner does not work with Windows 7. :cry: Gonna try to take a photo of it to save me a hassle of redrawing on the PC. Since I totally suck at using PC drawing tools. =x But the other ones I do will inevitably be Paint quality. :p

Next time we might consider an approach where every step is sent to the stack's "owner" at the same time it's passed on. When I complete my A I send it to BoB and Lev, when I complete my B I send it to BoB and Proto, and so on. Eliminates at least some of the waiting.

Haha I liked B. It changed who or what was dealing with the whale in each picture.

A went off the beaten path almost immediately. Writing descriptions must be hard; I felt a lot better on my accuracy when having to doodle something versus having to textually convey it.

I like BoB's vampire Dwight. :D You guys put long descriptions!

When capturing the essence is impossible, getting all the excessive details seems important. That way, the next in line has a lot more options to interpret or omit.

Drawing rehab without the word "REHAB" was tricky to say the least. Let alone Amy Winehouse in rehab! It was when you sent me that line, I thought "Oh God, they're all going to be like this, aren't they?" xD It was a lot of fun drawing your more odd lines. :D

People have already spoiled my stack for me (I think it's on D-9 and Genji is drawing the last pic) and apparently it goes the same way as Rantz's.

I like how some of you describe the scenes and others instead try to create a catchy title for it.

Trying to pick out what BoB meant with all the details kept me in angst for hours. Ask Kalilung; I was crippled with doubt and misery, thinking of what the scene was and how the cat, person, or anything else all tied together.

I love how, outside of the 'eating' bit, Psy's interpretation of Genji's picture basically changed everything. Also, Lynx, I love your drawing. *makes a note to Pant Leg Eater from the Bad World to check this thread*

Give it another round and it probably would have gone off, though, since BoB decided to draw paper airplanes instead of darts.

Too bad Loony BoB flopped and decided to get dramatic. If only he'd drawn the bullseye and more structured game darts. It's almost as if he interpreted the phrase as an enemy Snake's projectile attack against the brave hero.

I was thinking more like "Cobra exhaling paper airplanes."

Now that I look at it without feeling animosity and violent rage towards Bob for ruining this community's clear shot to demonstrate it's combined communication skills, I see airplanes rather than polygonal weapons.

Where I'm from, those are called 'paper darts' (also 'paper airplanes' - it's interchangeable). :p My original intention was to draw King Cobra from G.I. Joe but I was too lazy and the snakes are so much easier to draw. :D I also thought, given Rantz's history for mixing things up, that the previous person had already drawn a person who looked kind of like King Cobra. xD

You ruined our lives with your risk-taking and borderline gambling attitude. Next time, are you going to fly off the handle bars and make us go down in history as incapable?
