It's spring time at EoFF, and that means we have plenty of events and games going on. Here is a popular forum game I have introduced a couple years ago based on the tv show by the name of the Family Feud. If you are familiar with the show, you will probably understand how this game works. I will further explain the rules in the official game thread when that starts on April 2.

Have you answered the survey I have sent out this month? If you have not, you still have a week remaining to send in your answers. Anyway, here's what I'm looking for before we can start the game. I am looking for four teams of five players each, but before we have teams, I would need players. That's where this thread comes in handy. If you want to play the Feud, sign up! This time around by popular demand, I'm going to allow everyone up to 24 hours to give an answer rather than the 12 hours we have done in the past two games. If you don't answer, that means a strike.

Looking for 20 players. By signing up, you hereby agree that you must take the time to play.

Once all 20 spots are filled, I will assign four random players the role of team captains and they can choose their teams from the players left. It would be first come, first choose, so the remaining players left will fill out the fourth and last team.

Edit: Okay, I guess I'll make another rule. If you don't want to be randomly assigned to be team captain, make such a request and I'll put you aside when assigning captains.

Edit2: Because Jiro already seems ready to lead a team, and a few would only play on his team, I'm going to assign him as captain of one of the teams. The next three will be assigned randomly after the roster is complete.

I just want to say that I don't want to be a team captain. I wouldn't enjoy this.

I'm glad you brought this up, so I made a new rule regarding this. Don't worry, I won't name you captain when I'm going to assign roles.

K, I'll bite. 24 hours sounds good...means I can actually contribute in between my hectic thesis schedule. However, I'd prefer not to be team captain again.

This is turning out to look nice with the current players. This could potentially turn out to be awesome if more sign up soon. I'm hoping we can fill out the roster before April arrives. If not, I'll delay the start of the game by a day or two, depending on how many spaces are remaining. I'll start bothering people to sign up in a couple days.

We are currently 3 players short of having 20 players. We still have plenty of time for three players to sign up. Until then, I went ahead and assigned the other three team captains, so now we have four. The team captains are Jiro, Melissaur, Psychotic, and Bubbaforever. Each team captain will currently choose three players to join their team. Jiro will need to pick one because he already has two. After we reach 20 players, I will randomly select the teams for the last 4 players to join. Team captains will also get to choose the name of their team. I will inform the team captains their roles and let them choose 3 players to be on their team.

The teams are set for now. Now waiting for the remaining three players to join Værn so I can complete the teams. If anyone want to invite a person to join, that would be great. The sooner we get 20, the earlier we can start playing! As of now, April 2 is the scheduled date to start the game, but I can start early.

As a note, I may be relatively inactive until Friday due to my 3rd year Dissertation being handed in then (and yes, I am still doing it xD). But I should still be present if required :]

So does that mean you will be mostly unavailable until this Friday?

If that's the case, your team will be in the second game. There will be three games this time around, as opposed to two.

It should work like this.

Team A vs. Team B in the first game
Team C vs. Team D in the second game
and finally...
winner of first game vs. winner of second game in the third game

I expect I will be present if required, it was just a prior warning if any delays occur, but I doubt they will

Depends on how quickly everyone answers when it is their turn. Each game may last a week, more or less.

I'm going to assume that most players are ready to play and probably will post later but want to get started so I am going to do that. This thread will now be used for discussion of the games going on. Maybe do some trash talking here and there, and other people can post what they think about the game. Let's get this game going!

Now that the Feud is over and done in two styles. The first two games with the teams alternating between rounds and the third game similar to the actual game show. How should future Feud games be done?
