Back to The Feud: Part III (Game 3 now in session!)

Welcome to Back to the Feud: Part III! This is the game that is based on the tv show by the name of Family Feud (or Family Fortunes for those living across the pond), where two teams face against each other guessing answers to surveys done by 100 people and the one with the most points by the end of the show wins! There will be three separate games. Each game consists of five rounds. The first two rounds are normal points. In the third round, the points are doubled, and in the fourth, the points are tripled. The fifth and final round, or Fast Money as I like to call it, will be awarded to the team with the most points where they try to gather more points. During each round, the team going will have several tries to guess what is on the board. Every time they miss, they will earn a strike. Not only that, but they will also be given 24 hours to give me an answer. Failure to answer within 24 hours will result in a strike. When a team earns three strikes, the opposite team will have a chance to steal. During this time, anyone from the team can answer, provided they discuss possible answers.

So, let's recall how this thread will go. There will be two teams for each game. Let's call them Teams A, B, C, and D for this diagram.

So, I've erm... just visited Laddy's house. Right, here's the thing...

It seems he has been imprisoned by his own psyche. His brain is constantly replaying memories from when he was trapped in an airing cupboard with a ferret when he was five years old.

He's also, erm... lost both of his hands in a freak accident involving a hamster, some marbles and a pair of cooking tongues.

Also, his computer has been confiscated by the FBI as they suspect it contained images of wildebeest abuse.

As he is unable to type, access the internet, or string two sentences together... he indicated (via elbow signals) that he would like me, his captain, to put forward his next guess.

I err... await confirmation from Agent Proto to see if this is OK...?

Well, in the next two hours, he would have 6 hours remaining, and if Laddy does not show up, you may have to find a replacement for him by then. Hopefully you can find someone to take his place in your team or he shows up today before time is up. Good luck!

I don't think people would have answered either NCG or Iceglow as, while there are no spaces, the names consist of multiple words (unlike all the other answers and guesses).

You know what... I was thinking Shlup was still ShlupQuack and thought that was considered 2 words too so NCG would make sense too but I have just looked and I was wrong. Yes, and just don't take too long. I'm giving Steal Attempts 12 hours. If your team doesn't settle on an answer, I'll either use the first suggestion used or let the other team keep their points.

How did nobody get that the top answer was Eyes On Me?

It's far from my first association! Personally I don't know what made it so obvious, but I'm probably missing something.

Maybe I find the association instant given that Final Fantasy VIII is my favourite Final Fantasy but by process of elimination if the top answer isn't Eyes on Final Fantasy then it would be the name of the song. Either way I'm probably building some bad karma for myself in the next game :lol:

I would blame the people who took the survey! How is 'Villains' a staple of Final Fantasy games? It's a staple of EVERY game. Cids and Airships are far stronger candidates for being on the board (Big swords is also pretty tenuous, given that that only really counts Clouds and Zidanes double edged ones, because the rest of the swords are proportionate)

^Lol, Gunblade much? Sephiroth's Masamune? Auron's sword?

I'm pretty sure I was one of the 9 people who answered "big swords" to that question :lol:

How small do you think swords are? The gunblade and Auron's weapon are maybe a little wider than standard swords, but they fit the size of two handed swords. And the Masamune isn't originally from FF anyway, it's part of a legend.

It doesn't matter, more people thought big swords were more associated with Final Fantasy than Cid, or airships.

"Swords" would have been my next guess, but the last two are really random. Summons, airships, and Cid were much more applicable. I do worry about some of the people who take this survey.

I answered 20 I think. But I never tip less than 5 regardless of the price. So I tip $5 or 20% whichever is more

Tipping by % is dumb. How much more work is it to bring out my $30 steak than it is to bring my $8 burger?

What's more annoying is when places put mandatory tips onto the bill. I will tip if I wish to. I will not be happy if you actually force me to tip by adding a 20% labour fee, or whatever crap they call it these days. Especially when the meal was expensive!
