At least you haven't gone brand loyal yet. I get irritated anytime I can't find SmartWater. No, I have no idea why. It just tastes better.
I smoke, so theres that. Tools. I will use almost any excuse to get a new tool, or preferably set of tools. I recently bought a Dremel 8200, a Tap and Die set, a set of metal files and a set of extra cutting wheels for the dremel so I could fix a $35 folding chair.

I too buy bottled water.
I also have a habit of buying too much food or candy than I can eat myself. I usually end up throwing or giving most of it away. I just want a little bit of it all, you know?
I only buy carbonated bottled water, becuase I can't get that from my kitchen. I probably don't need it, but then again, I don't really need more than one set of clothes either, right?
I buy bottled water because for some reason, my dad doesn't want to buy a filter for the faucet. I honestly think it's stupid to have to pay for water though. It's like paying for air. That would be just as dumb.
I also tend to purchase office supplies that I don't really need, or hardly ever use. I like being surrounded by organized stationery items in my study. :shiny:
This. Except... Not organized. Ever. Also, Notebooks. I'm in the process of a major move right now (like, moving my wife three states, then myself like 12 time zones) and in the process of packing I think I've chucked 20 notebooks with 5-15 pages used out of them. Don't know why, but I feel compelled to buy or otherwise obtain notebooks all the time. I guess in my head every time I buy a new notebook, that's going to be the one that I finally fill with brilliant schematics for amazing devices and knowledge to share with future generations. Then it gets a doodle and a grocery list and goes in a drawer.
Moroccan slaves. They're not as hard workers as Latvians or durable like Inuits, but I just like the variety.
Among various other things in my room that I probably won't ever use, I accumulated a large quantity of misc. school supplies while I was in high school. I now have more notebooks than I know what to do with. I should use all of them to teach myself how to draw, until I can doodle something other than stick figures.
Re: office/school supplies-- I think I have about ten thousand pens.

Everything on this website.
But I need those puerto rican hookers, damn it! They please me in ways Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool never could.
I was going to type "Everything I enjoy, I guess?" but then reread the "Ridiculous" in the title.
Uhm. I bought a Skrull Mighty Mugg because it was on sale for like a dollar, I guess?
Video Games
Video games count as a "need", HC
Not an item, but probably like, pedicures.
PG STOP BUYING ELECTRONICS YOU ARE GOING TO NOT AFFORD YOUR VACATION TO PARADISE T_____________________T
waaaah but I need another 1.5 TiB hard drive!
This answer is going to relate to your other thread, Pike. Whenever I decide to buy something like a digital copy of a game I already own, especially if it it through Steam just because I want the convenience of playing games on the go with my laptop.
Also, plastic dishes when I am too lazy to do real dishes, and plastic cups when I feel like throwing urine out of the third story window.
can all of you just buy filters please
i think video games still count. especially if you keep buying with no time to ever play them. what'sup steam and ebay.
Jolly Rancher Soda. The stuff is awful and makes me feel terrible. But I simply cannot live without that novelty in my life.
At the minimart by the Gamestop.
Lucky Monda~ :jess:
I buy large amounts of journals and sketchbooks I don't fill and way too many MtG cards. xD
Underwear. I have a highly unnecessary amount of underwear. It's like, every time I go out, if I see a cute pair, I buy it. I probably own like 100+ pair of underwear, that I really just don't wear. They just sit all nice in my underwear drawer. xD
I have a lot of underwear and socks, but only because it lets me put off doing the laundry longer :shobon:
Toe shoes.
I probably could stop buying so much yogurt. But it's greek yogurt and we have to help that country out somehow.
Fish. I can't EVER stop buying new fish for my tanks ><
buy a candira asu for your tank.
Heck no!
I know it is a necessary purchase but I absolutely hate buying it! Toilet paper! That is money you literally wipe your ass with!
Holistic kitten food that counts for a quarter of my grocery bill.
I bought every issue of Super Play (independent SNES magazine) from the 90's recenty when I had the need for a massive nostalgia fix. Some of the later, rarer issues I shelled out over £40 (about $65) each.
I don't regret it either. Some of the later ones had brilliant articles previewing FFVII for the N64.
It was definitely an extravagance though... I clearly didn't need to spend over £300 on some old magazines.
