What's your favorite instrument?
Trombone is godtier instrument invented by Odin himself.
Also, somewhat relevant, while still keeping to my recent trend of posts.... :riiight:

The obvious answer is guitar. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong. :colbert:
The up-right bass gets me in the up-right position.
I love the sound of the oboe. It's just so beautiful... However, I play the flute and I'm gonna say I love it just a bit more. But my most beloved instrument of all time is the piano. I spent all my childhood, adolescence and what I have of adulthood playing the piano. I love the sound and the endless possibilities. Too bad that even though I've been tought to play it for over 15 years, I can never achieve virtuoso level, and therefore, compared to other piano students at my former music school, I suck at it, 'cause piano is the most difficult instrument as well. Seriously, pianists don't get the respect they deserve. Everyone's like "OMG, that's, like, the easiest instrument ever, all you gotta do is press buttons". I actually always want to smack the person who says sometyhing like this in the face. Ignorance! :mad2:
The Violin, when played poorly it punishes not only the listener but also the player, and when played correctly it is versatile and is like an orgasm for the ears.
This is the correct answer.
Here are my top three... followed by ridiculous examples of each!
1) Guitar - www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifp_SVrlurY
2) Ukulele - Ukulele weeps by Jake Shimabukuro - YouTube
3) Harmonica - www.youtube.com/watch?v=PosjN1FUYlE
EDIT: Skip to the end of the the guitar link to see Prince (extremely underrated guitarist) rip it up then launch his guitar off stage. Awesome.
The only acceptable answer to this question is the very first instrument: the armpit.
Drums being an extremely close second and beating any stringed instrument to death with sticks.
Bass guitar for me but my favourite way of playing and sound to use for it is similar to Lemmy from Motorhead. Its just this monstrous, powerful but still bassy sound!
On the other end of the spectrum, I absolutely HATE the sound of french horns.
Tough for me to choose, but it would probably be guitar. I generally get a boner when I hear a good guitar. Also, I have sex with them.
I've played the piano (like up to gr 3) and clarinet (7 yrs - so i had once upon a time grade 8 piano theory) , and my dad taught me how to play the very basics of guitar once upon a time, but I forgot it all.
I prefer piano. I cannot play the clarinet any more. Embrasure is all whack.
The instrument of your doom.
That was kinda weird and kinda awesome at the same time.
I love guitar and piano.
Drums are my favourite instrument for obvious reasons, but I think that the nicest sounding instrument to listen to by itself is the cello. That said, every instrument can be amazing when it's played by someone brilliant... except the guy that hits two cymbals together in an orchestra, smurf that guy.
Sack him.

I like the Violin. Lindsey Stirling plays some amazing stuff.
But I LOVE the Cello
I use to play the tenor Sax if you lot didn't know.
I can only really play on piano-like instruments, but I love me som violins, and various other string instruments.
In old pre mid 2000 music I feel the bass is well balanced and under rated. In recent late 2000 music i feel the bass is over used and over rated
But if i could only listen to one instrument for the rest of my life it would be the piano
You know, I've been thinking about it, and I'm gonna go ahead and make all the purists mad and state that electronic instruments are my favorite kind.
i got this two days ago

does it count
I like the Oboe.
Here is Megan Follows playing with the littlest oboe I've ever seen.

I prefer blunt objects. The blood splatter can be a pain to clean up but it seems so much more satifyin--- Oh. Musical instruments? Not murder weapons?
I love the sound of the clarinet but that's totally biased since I played that for so long. Piano is probably my favorite sound.
You guys may or may not know this buuuuut
In shows that are targeted towards babies/very young children/children they use a lot of clarinet and violin, as those are the two instruments that most resemble the sound of a human voice.
Piano all the way. It's the instrument I play, and it also conveys the greatest emotional spectrum out of all the other instruments. Hearing the piano sound always makes my heart melt. :)
For me,it's guitar:kakapo:
Guitar would be in my top 5 if it wasn't for guitarists. Bunch of knobs -_-
violin mother:bou::bou::bou::bou:ers
Piano, hands down. Just the kind of emotion it can show... holy jesus I never knew how powerful it was until a few months ago.
stringed istruments in general. i like guitar, bass, banjo, fiddel/violen, and i also like the sound of a harmonica
V is for Violin
I is for vIolin
o is for viOlin
L is for vioLin
I is for violIn
N is for Nurder
Any questions?
They don't like you, they like the idea of you. Also having your guitarist as lead vocalist is asking for a gigantic ego trip.
Huhuhuhu 'instrument'
Also, as it's almost the only one I have any skill in and it's so versatile and sounds sooo good..
guitar.
Violin, Piano and Mandolin are my favorites.
I have my best instrument right here :jokey:
I think Pontus is telling us he spends a lot of time blowing a meat flute.
I have a hard imagining what would go through one's head when attempting to play a turkey baster. "Hmm, I think I'm just going to start putting this long piece of plastic in my mouth until something cool happens."
Piano.
At home we have a keyboard and a cello.
