The Tournament of Heroes: Round Two

In an effort to determine the favorite Final Fantasy Hero, I have written down 32 names and put them in a top hat to find pairs for this tournament.

example:

At a dozen votes, we have some characters who are sure to make it to the next round. If we can make it to 15 votes we'll go to the next round early.

SO far your votes have been rather interesting, some characters I thought would get no votes are winning and some I thought would do well have few votes. At this point, there is only one character who has been voted unanimously better than their opponent.

I meant he wasn't in first.

Hmm... How many people voted for just one person? How could he be in first if one of every two people gets voted for? I never said he'd win. I said we've seen him before. In every single person's tournament, Cloud pops up. When faced with the opportunity to see someone else step up, no takers. Like I said, this is why voting for a winner doesn't work. The result will always be the same... unless you suggest certain characters have different abilities from different points of their particular story. Like would Level 1 Cloud win against Level 13 Vaan? Or if he didn't have his Buster Sword or couldn't use limits or materia. Or maybe you give a character access to spin-off abilities like Yuna's Dresspheres or Vincent's ability to wield his Death Penalty while in Chaos mode. My point is, change it up. It's old.
I'm currently trying to pick up where Void left off writing an actual tournament, but I get kind of caught up in the story so I have to be careful otherwise the action will slow and people will lose interest.

Oh. Wut? Cloud is a main character, so he is in it. If there were a bunch of better people who were more popular he would be number one to go away.

Okay, I've voted (not without difficulty, as you'll see when you read my message). I voted for thirteen of the winners that round, which I think is pretty good.

At the current time, no person has perfect score. One of the people I thought would trail badly is actually beating their opponent.
