I'm pretty darn good at volleyball and I have a killer serve. I'm alright at tennis.
I can't swing a bat to save my life, though. I'm terrible at softball but I have a such good time playing it! All others sports I am also terrible at.
What are some sports you enjoy playing and consider yourself good at?
Soccer, if I pass the ball. Basketball, if I pass the ball. Baseball, preferably, pitching or batting (though I don't know that I'm particularly great at either). Football, if I'm nowhere near the ball.
Also, pretty much anything that isn't counted as a real sport.
Basketball because I have good hand-eye coordination and can shoot some great 3 pointers, but I'm short so when I dunk I get stuck up there which is fairly embarrassing. I can also only dunk when I have a good running start.
Volleyball is another, but sometimes my hands or wrists get red and sore from it.
Last is lacrosse cuz I'm fast and not easily deterred by over-aggressive players.
I'm a decent defensive basketball player, never was one for ball skills. I'd rather stuff the ball back in your face.
I was a beast on the football field however. Real football not that sissy ball kicking crap ;)
I played slot receiver and strong safety. Much preferred offense but hitting people on D was fun. Also loved being on the kick teams, I was good at running down the ball carrier.

Badminton. I'm not even joking.
I played both basketball and soccer in high school. I liked playing basketball more, though was much better at soccer, and was a starter for 3 of the 4 years. I was a touch player who could control and pass the ball well, but was never particularly fast. I was a shooting guard in basketball who was a good shooter and decent ball-controller, but at 5'9" was not towering over anyone.

I'm quite good at basketball, and I used to be good at soccer but it got really boring for me. I can also throw an NFL ball quite well for an Australian, never signed up to play properly though.
I am insanely good at every sport I've ever played.
I don't play sports.
My dad and I used to play Badminton a lot while I was growing up and I was usually one of the best at it in gym class.
When I played soccer I was damn good at defense and for a short period of time I was an epic goalie. One year I played competitive indoor soccer in the area, we were the smallest team (only one sub for most of the day) and we beat the team that had at least two full subs and won gold.
Other sport I'm decent at: volleyball (same competition group as the indoor soccer, we won silver), basketball, and darts (if you consider that a sport) but I can't double out to save my life.

I am good at no sports. I don't tend to be terrible at sports, either - I just lack the physical presence for the ones I enjoy and the enthusiasm for those that I don't need such physical presence. I still enjoy a good game of cricket and I've been told I'm not a bad bowler. I can hit a tennis ball bloody far, too, but against a cricket ball it's a different story, going back to the whole physical presence thing.

you can palm a basketball and get it up 10 feet in the air? O_o I'm sorry I just don't believe it. I used to be able to high jump over 6 feet and I could just barley dunk. Most WNBA players can't dunk. If you can dunk then why are you not like a woman's basketball phenom?Quote:

It was probably like at my high school, where there were lower hoops on some courts than on others. I don't know why - possibly they do it so that it's a reasonable size compared to younger kids or something. I definitely remember some people being able to dunk at my high school.

I liked basketball back in school but I haven't played it in years on account of having never had the chance. I'd probably be useless at it now.
Also I seemed to have a slight natural talent for playing on defence in football but I would rather take a bath in your mother's period blood than even watch it, much less play it. Still though, knock a ball in my direction and, if I'm not in my right mind (in my right mind I would normally let it pass me by so its poor owner has to crawl into a nettle bush to retrieve it) my drilled-in-by-havin'-football-shoved-down-my-throat-for-countless-years instincts overtake me I will trap it and pass it back something fierce, then move on.
I am crazy good at dressage.
You don't have to believe it. My brother didn't either and that's when I dunked on him. I'm pretty sure women dunking is not as amazing as you're making it out to be. Sure it's uncommon, but not some mystical "phenom." :pQuote:

Shiny palming a ball is much less surprising than her dunking, assuming she uses a women's ball. And no, women dunking is not at all mystical (it's very rare in actual games, but many women can do it in a gym), though I have never heard of a woman much under 6' being able to dunk. Or really anyone, male or female, only 5'1". That's some major jumping skills.
On a similar subject, I was at my uncle's house over the weekend and the gold medal women's basketball game was on, and he was commenting, in response to my cousin's question, that a mere ~6' woman who was a SG/SF on the USA's team couldn't dunk because she's "just a girl." I disputed him that it was impossible, but couldn't back it up with anything concrete. You should upload a video I can send to him (and also so I can curse my white man's knees in shame).
I'm pretty beastly at lacrosse. I had one of the best shots on the team for two years.
I can also play some damn fine hockey when I keep at my skating.
Oh! I remembered another one. When I was in Jr. High I was really good at Dodge Ball. I was generally one of the last people out if my team lost, and I was also good at hitting the designed target to win your team back in.

Being a pretty good runner, I can do alright in quite a few sports. Never been interested in playing Rugby League or Rugby Union but I've had mess abouts at school and if I find a gap then you are smurfed. Probably why I was so good at touch footy. AFL wasn't too bad but I don't have the kicking accuracy with those balls.
Football -- real football with the round ball that you kick -- is a favourite of mine. I excelled as a sweeper, but that's only because our team seemed to always be on the defence. I'm also strong all the way through midfield and am a decent play maker. Not the greatest finisher but with pace up the front I get a lot of one-on-one situations and they're hard to smurf up.
Was pretty smurfing good at badminton when we played in school. Would love to give that more of a shot in the future. Suck balls at Tennis though.
Horrible at basketball but not too bad at netball. Gets rough when you play mixed teams too. Holy trout.
Played softball in primary school. I was a mad pitcher. Inb4 your stupid jokes. Seriously I was super awesome. Never played baseball but I imagine it's probably different enough to make me subpar.
What else has been mentioned? Volleyball; eh, not really my thing. Do alright at that team one with like five people but that's because I throw myself at everything with no fear of smashing my face on the ground or nothin'. Dodgeball I was good at. Probably better now that I'm quicker and stronger but then again we played with smurfing foam balls so those real rubbery ones would change things dramatically. Not real great at billiards/snooker unless I'm half cut and having a good night. Never played lacrosse but it looks too hard for me, same thing with hockey.
Sadly I'm pretty crap at cricket. Never really played it but I can't really bowl and batting isn't my forte either. I'm an excellent fielder but that's not how you pick a team :p still, smurfing dynamite at backyard/beach cricket. That's where I dominate.
Can throw an NFL ball pretty good too but man I run jump and catch like a black man so I'd make an excellent receiver.
And obviously track and field. Damn I'm good at track and field.
What else is there? :D

Oh yeah, forgot about that, I'm a pretty awesome swimmer as well.
I'm about as good at swimming as the Aussie olympic swim team is at winning olympic gold (ie not). Never been much for water, and the fact that my hips are smurfed and rotate backwards when I try to swim just makes me retarded.
I cannot throw a football to save my life. HOW DO THEY GET IT TO SPIRAL LIKE THAT mine just flops all over the place and hits the ground way before I want it to because I have a poor arm :(
Im always very pleasantly surprised when someone throws something to/at me and I manage to catch it
I'm surprisingly good at a lot of sports, even though I rarely played them throughout high school. Nothing too fancy, I could not become a pro in any of them, but I am always pleasantly surprised by how well I do in random physical activities. Baseball, football, soccer, tennis, badminton, and volleyball are ones that stick out in my mind the most.
Me? Sports? Ahahaha. I broke my leg playing with a dog, and sprained my ankle walking down stairs.
Ju Jitsu, i'm open world champion. Hell yeah.
I'm a pretty good show jumper (i'm English, what do you expect?) though I suck at Cricket or anything like that.
I use to do long jump in Track & Field. :monster: One thing that makes me compete better is people telling me I can't do something or just in general, doubting my abilities. Sometimes I tell people to leave the trash talk at home, because that's what I feed off of when dealing in competitive sports. When I ever feel up to actually playing on a basketball court again, I'll get around to recording it. Couldn't be at a worse possible time though -- my knee was recently injured while I was running with my dog.Quote:
