I'm still a licensed lifeguard, so yes. And yes I have.
Mine's expired. Never used it.
I don't have one, but I use it all the time. Girls love it.
I've given CPR to someone in the past yes and yes this does mean I have genuinely saved some poor bastards life. But I don't think I've ever had a certification to do so. I mean I've done and passed first aid courses including cpr and mouth 2 mouth resuscitation but I'm not sure I've ever had a certificate granted me.
I have CPR certification because I have to for my job. I have never had to use it, and I hope I never have to.
Got trained to use it in High School. Had to...half use it before. I won't go into who this was, but someone was passed out because of fumes. I used what I knew to set the person in the right laying position so said person would not choke on vomit if that became an issue. I had another person with me to handle the rest while I ran for the nearest phone and called 911. Everything turned out good.
I got one!! But actually only tried it out on a dummy during training and my little hamster.
But my little hamster sued me for that. :(
I had one in high school.
I was certified in college as a requirement for being an intramural sports' supervisor, but I assume it's since expired. I've never been forced to give CPR to anyone.
I need to get this.
But on Friday I get to learn how to use a defibrillator.
:radred:
I'm sure I got one in high school and I had one prior to that because of something or other I was doing. In any case, I've never had to perform CPR before. Thankfully. It'd be nice not to have to.
It was required in my school for all high school seniors to take lessons and then the actual certification test. I passed the test and received my certification, but it's most likely expired now. I've never used it, but I did help my sister burp up her milk once when she was a baby...
yeah, mine expired years ago. We were required to take it in Health/gym class.
Where did all of you people go to school that required you to get a CPR certification? I would have stayed in high school if it meant I wouldn't have had to pay $50 out of my own pocket for it :(
Got it in highschool, never used it, forgotten how to do it.
Once I tried to do the compressions on myself to see if it would give me double breathing power
My mom doesn't want anyone to know she has it because she's too nervous to try to save someone she doesn't know. She's far less afraid to watch them die of suffocation.
Nah. If I'm ever alone with someone who needs CPR, they will probably end up dead.
I had a couple of classes on it that accumulate to approximately 4-5 hours. Never tested for the certificate or whatever, but I have never had to use it. Came close once when a guy who lived on the third floor of the barracks I used to live in 'fell' off the side of the railing. It's too bad he suffered only superficial wounds, I would have liked to give him a little something something.
Nope, I'm pretty much useless in danger. :monster:
Oh. My mom's certification expired. So she now has an excuse not to help people.
I have to update mine a lot or my school will get mad at me :) And I've almost had to use it since where I work the elderly choke on their meals pretty often. My co-worker had to use it on one of our residents during my work shift. I've had some panics in the dining hall often asking my residents to say something so I know their airway isn't obstructed.
