Only one can be chosen.
That was the easiest poll ever.
P.S. Batman is overrated.
RDJ > Christian Bale.
Batman seems to have more gadgets and more motive, but Iron Man builds his tech himself, needs less, scores with more chicks, doesn't need a vehicle, and his arrogant playboy attitude follows his Iron Man persona rather than disappearing in a veil of shadows.
Batman only has more gadgets because his outfit isn't a vehicle.
Marvel has always focused on action/spectacle over drama/mystique. Why Wolverine was made into a novel, I'll never know. Every comic of the DC line should be made into a novel because the entire point is keeping the mind puzzled.
Marvel works as a comic because its whole point is to be amusing in a primitive manner.
How can Iron Man be winning!? I get RDJ is cool and all, but come on, Batman will forever remain the greatest!
^ Largely because people are only going by the movie version of Iron Man, not realizing that Tony Stark is like the biggest jerk in the Marvel Universe in the actual books. Obviously, no one in this thread read Civil War.
I've read Civil War. I have a hard time choosing sides because unlike the slavery issue of the only actual Civil War we're taught about here in the US, both sides of this issue make valid points. Stark may be a jerk, but he's still a jerk with a cause.
Stark was only a jerk when he had to be.
This is more fair-sided than another poll...
Anyway, Batman. If we're talking actors, RDJ beats Christian Bale.
Movie-wise, RDJ does beat Christian Bale (though the Batman movies are overall superior). However, as comic book characters, Batman is the goddamn Batman.
I give him a pass on Civil War because after creating that complete mess and losing control of S.H.I.E.L.D. to Norman Osborn he was willing to delete his brain to keep the list of super hero secret identities safe. Like most of Tony's mistakes, he spends a great deal of time, energy, and goes to great personal expense trying to rectify it.
Also, Matt Fraction writes a great Tony Stark.
I should have made two polls (possible?). One for Iron Man vs Batman and one for RDJ as Iron man vs Christian Bale as batman.
The correct answers are Batman and RDJ as Iron Man.
Nobody likes Civil War anyway.
I vote Iron Man regardless of the circumstances.
Are we talking spooty camp 60's POW ZAP and George Clooney Batman, or gritty dark modern Batman? This is important.
Alien. Duh.
Gritty dark modern Batman, the way he was intended to be.
I've never been a massive Batman fan, I wouldn't say I don't like him, I've just not been interested.
Loved Iron Man too and The Avengers
Too. Much. Muscle. :love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:

I think the first picture is also part Rorschach.
And Wolverine.
One extra part DC, one extra part Marvel.
MY vote for Batman.
I never really cared about Iron Man before RDJ knocked it out of the park. I don't recall the real Iron Man being that cool. Batman has always been better since Batman is one of the coolest and most interesting super heroes of all time.
Ironman. He got that replusor thingy on his hand and got that Hulkbuster crap. I like how he pew pew pew at things.
I don't love Iron Man, but Batman is just an unaccountable cop who knows he is above the law because he's rich and creates crime by existing
