Tournament of the Video Game Badasses
Step aside ladies, it's time to give the men a chance to compete against each other :cool: Except, rather than it be a complete mirror of the Babes tournament, the video game males will be competing to claim the title as "Most Badass Male Video Game Character"
Being that this is the first time it's being run, the list is rather short (32 contestants) and have a few repeated series contributions. Hopefully if all goes well next time there will be a larger variety of contestants. Here are you contestants:
*Each and every single one of the following links contain spoilers. I have provided videos of these men in action (most are fan made) and links to their wiki page if you, like me, don't know a whole lot about them and want to know more.*
1) Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII) (video)
What a better way to start off this tournament than with one of the most well known badasses in the FF series. Just take a listen to his theme song. If that is your theme song and you are LAME, something is seriously wrong.
2) Leon S. Kennedy (Resident Evil) (video)
So you're in the land of Resident Evil and have yet to be infected. Congratulations, you're awesome at hide-and-go-seek! Wait, you fight them and you're still alive? ...How? :|
3) Dekar (Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinestrals) (video)
Self declared greatest swordsman in the world, he is very reliable and righteous. However, he is dummer then a box of rocks. He is also quite the flatter, though manages to never get a girl. It is quite sad.
4) Link (Legend of Zelda Series) (video)
Hero of Hyrule who can use an assortment of weapons in creative ways.
5) Snake (Metal Gear Solid) (video)
The man who makes the impossible possible and will kick your ass probably even after he's dead. That eye patch is pretty bitchin too.
6) Dante (Devil May Cry) (video)
A half-demon who enjoys to stir trout up. Don't mess with his pizza.
7) Kratos (God of War) (video)
I have sifted through a LOT of blood, gut spewing, ripping off limbs, and one head ripping off clips before finding something that didn't turn the stomach to share. Do not mess with Kratos :|
8) Balthier (Final Fantasy XII) (video)
He's the leading man!
9) Basch fon Ronsenburg (Final Fantasy XII) (video)
Wanted for a murder he didn't commit yet still protects the princess at all costs. That's pretty bold, imo.
10) Kanji Tatsumi (Persona 4) (video)
Looks like a guy who is part of a biker gang, though is actually known for being the guy who beat up a local biker gang. Even though he comes across as a tough guy who is quick to anger, he's a bit insecure about his sewing hobies, including making very elaborate stuffed animals.
11) Roland aka Soldier Class (Borderlands) (video)
Soldier class in Borderlands, this guy can launch a turret out from his pants (at least that's what it looks like)
12) Overlord Zetta (Makai Kingdom: Chronicles of the Sacred Tome) (video)

13) Eldore (White Knight Chronicles) (video)
Old? Check. Mysterious character? Check. Owl companion? Bonus. Beard? :rsl:
14) Cervantes de Léon (Soul Calibur) (video)
Undead pirate who has boobzilla for a daughter!
15) Johnny Gat (Saints Row) (video)
Ayyy, dis guy. You do not mess with dis guy.
16) Gordon Freeman (Half-Life) (video)
Theoretical physicist who is the leader fighting against alien invaders with epic guns and …a crowbar?
17) Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII) (video)

18) Marcus Fenix (Gears of War) (video)
Leading the gears into the disgusting abyss to defeat the Locust army by using kickass guns, curb stomps, and even using them as a shield. Nothing will stop Fenix.
19) Duke Nukem (video)Warning: this is not the most appropriate video in the world but everything is censored.
Guns, tits, and fighting aliens. Duke is living the life.
20) Ragna the Bloodedge (BlazBlue) (video)
Ragna has quite the large bounty for his head and his sword will eat your soul :)
21) Master Chief (Halo) (video)
Defeating hoards of aliens and never stopping for a break, Master Chief is an iconic character who will complete his naval duty at all costs.
22) War (Darksiders) (video)
War! Huh! YEAH! What is it good for? Bringing the apocalypse and ripping off the wings of angels and demons.
23) Arthas Menethil (Lich King) (Warcraft) (video)
Just his presence gives him a badass impression.
24) Ryu (Street Fighter) (video)
HADOUKEN His biceps are larger than your head.
25) Asura (Asura's Wrath) (video)
No one wants to mess with anyone with that many arms and serious anger management issues :|
26) Albert Wesker (Resident Evil) (video)
Sometimes I wonder where he gets replacement sunglasses considering he had a main hand in creating the virus that has turned the world in to smurfing zombies.
27) Auron (Final Fantasy X) (video)
All you need: A jug of booze and a huge sword to put up with Tidus be badass.
28) Chris Redfield (Resident Evil) (video)
If you watched the video, all I have to say is: He punched a boulder. WHO DOES THAT?!
29) Mega Man (video)
Don't underestimate this young man. He'll likely blast you past Pluto if you get in the way of his mega buster.
30) Hwoarang (Tekken) (video)
Do NOT anger gingers who know martial arts. It's just a bad BAD idea.
31) Alucard (Castlevania Series) (video)
The son of Dracula who is half-vampire and joins the Belmonts in their quest to defeat him.
32) Cole Train (Gears of War) (video)
Putting it scientifically… Nothing can defeat the Cole Train! WOO!
