Popacokasodadelic?
I wouldn't argue any are "correct" but I use soda. :x
Here we go again. :irked:
Also, soda is the correct term. Anything else is completely wrong.
So far, 3 people are correct.
Ditto.
Soda.
A mediocre beverage.
I switch between soda, pop, soda pop, and coke.
Diabetes
Delightful sugary nectar.
Soda!
I fixed the poll for you.
I am pleased to note that "soda," the objectively correct term, is leading that infantile label "pop" 9-1. As it should be.
I agree with Bunny with the addendum of "without alcohol."
Oh man yall woulda been screwed if not for Jiro there, excellent job sport
>>> Poison..:luca:
PPOPP
Sugar juice.
Juice. Everything is a drink of juice (unless it's water or a hot beverage). I don't even use the word "ginger" which is apparently the way I should refer to it.
Soda Pop.
I'm cheatin the system, man(SPOILER)....even though I just say the name of whatever I'm drinking, instead of soda or pop.
Also, lol @ Coke being an option instead of the name of a beverage under the label of soda or pop.
Soda, makes me think of baking soda, so I always use Soft Drinks.
Soft drink.
None of them are "correct". To imply that one is correct (and to get angry or hostile about it) is stupid.
I said "pop", but that is just what my regional dialect prefers. I don't drink it anyway, it's w/e to me
SODA
I switch back and forth between soda and pop. I said pop when I was on the East coast visiting my dad and I got looked at like I was an asshole. I said soda over here and got the same reaction from my grandmother of all people! smurf you, grandma!
Anyone who actually bothers to debate this is a smurfing dweeb and should be ashamed of themself. This argument is so lame and old. It's not funny anymore, it's not interesting, it's pointless. No one cares!
Say whatever the smurf you want, everyone. Call the drink whatever.
/drops mic
This was so uninteresting to you, that you took the time and effort to go to this thread and post, to let everyone know how pointless you think it is. I for one have had enough of negativity in eoff, so try and cheer up and say something nice people, or please lay off the sarcasm and pessimism because it's not helping in any way.
Anyway, I think it's interesting/fun to know what other people from different countries and regions call it. :)
Anyone who says coke as a blanket statement for soft drinks is an asshole. I just came in here to say that. Don't even care about the poll.
But arguing about pointless things is great. Seriously, does it look like any of us have anything better to do? We're posting on a Final Fantasy forum, for Yevon's sake!
As long as you don't use "coke" as a general term for beverages that do not taste like a type of coke, I'm fine with it.
That being said, you're pretty dumb if you don't say "soda".
I'm not saying that if you don't call it soda you are gay, but if you call it something else you probably like to sexually please other men.
When I moved to Texas, I noticed that people were saying "coke" for things non-coke and were proud of it. I was confused. D:
My parents always said "soft drinks" and "soda," so I adapted to that. I don't even drink much of that stuff, anyway. Unless alcohol is involved.
