Apparently when theres a diagonal you only have to press one of the directions or something like Down, Left, Left but it's never worked for me.

blitzes weren't hard to pull off until the diagonals got factored in! and that never worked either...
Down, down, left. It can't possibly get much easier than that.
Also, Sabin is a badass.
I did use Sabin in my party whenever I was allowed. :c)
Broken bear is broken.
When you get him he's broken, but late game he's actually one of the weakest characters. :p
That said, he held up a smurfing house because he's a smurfing beast.
If you play a copious amount of Street Fighter like I do, all the Blitz motions are really easy. :jess: But Sabin is probably my favorite FFVI character after Cyan.

Locke, Edgar, Celes and Terra have access to the most powerful weapons (without a Merit Award) and thus are the easiest to max out with.
I guess that's why I like working with Sabin to max out his strength when I play. He's a bruiser and is treated as such when I play with him. None of that pansy-ass magic stuff until very late in my playthrough where I'm grinding for the hell of it.

I've only got past the first blitz once...the second play through I gave up :)
Even used the gamecube controller for it.
You also have to mention the fact that he holds up an entire smurfing mansion about to collapse.
But ultimately a poor use of GGlove and offering, because different characters can pump out more damage with it.Quote:

Sabin has pectoral muscles that you would suckle on if you could.
Zack is a Gary Stu. Sabin is just a normal Prince fellow with muscles. And Cloud is very, very mentally weak. Sabin in Cloud's place would most likely shrug it off, because not even the end of the world could do him in.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'd get more damage out of Aeris than Cloud if I was Aeris was armed with a bazooka and Cloud was using his fists, but Cloud's definitely stronger. :D

Imagine you and your friends get into a fight with some dude. You have a knife, your boy has a sword, an autocrossbow, and a few other tools, and your other friend has a sword and MAGIC. This guy is straight WHOOPING you and your two friends with his bare hands. Then some brolic guy appears to aid you. You guys all get blown away, except the brolic dude, and then he hits the enemy with a few swoops of the hand and makes him disintegrate into thin air. You wouldn't keep him around for the next time trout goes down?
I like to think I'm unbias and I don't have anything against Sabin. I'd prefer Edgar over him because he gets better defenses in the long run and his Tools are obviously automatic.
I prefer spellcasters the most though. ;)
Sabin is the bomb, at every time imaginable except for one...

Nah, but on a more serious note, I always liked the "little brother that was considered weaker and then trained and became tougher than the big brother" thing. It's something I personally relate to.

Anyway, yeah. Sabin rocks. Not just though his sheer skill as a fighter, he's able to support a burning house for 5 minutes, and then laugh at the thought that a minor thing like the end of the world would kill him.

I think most twins have that complex where one of them is the "older" and I guess it's particularly reinforced by the fact that Edgar shouldered the responsibilities of being a King while Sabin was free to become the finely tuned destruction machine that he is.
