time to start stocking up...with all the preservatives they will still be edible thirty years from now. just think, one box of twinkies could pay your rent for a month to a hungry enough consumer.
God had nothing to do with it. This happened because millionaires swooped in, began stripping the company of everything not nailed down, and then demanded absolutely ridiculous, offensive, crippling sacrifices on the part of the workers (who had already made big sacrifices the last time Hostess got into trouble). Shockingly, for America, the workers actually got mad enough to strike, but the head honchos are happy to use this as a transparent and incoherent excuse to just shut the whole operation down.
If a company goes bankrupt the people at the top and the shareholders should be stripped of every last dime and it should be given to the workers.
Also Twinkies are pretty nice.
You just have to come in and make it all political. I just want my hostess cupcakes :(
Somebody needs to buy them out and rectify this immediately.
I am mad about this and not because of the food products. I am mad about this because this is unionbusting, plain and simple.
As I said I do like twinkies. But I think almost 20 thousand people being fired because of vindictive parasitic CEOs is a more important issue!
I would have thought a hippy like you would understand Moonflower, but I guess you only care when trees are losing their jobs :(

There's nothing to worry about. Another company will buy the rights to the distribution and recipe of all hostess products.
They will also be able to secure more profits from the acquisition because there will not be a union to deal with, or at best a union that has not been around as long (thus not costing the company as much)
There's sufficient market demand to authorise PG's prediction. And if not, you can still blame him (yay blaming PG) because he doesn't eat any Hostess products.

I don't even see what the big deal is about losing Hostess products; Little Debbie makes pretty much everything they do but better. Except for their version of Twinkies, but everything else they make is far better than Twinkies anyway. Also Zebra Cakes.Quote:

I went to Giant Eagle last night and the entire Hostess section is gone now. They've replaced it with Entenmanns's products. :onoes:
I was going to mention Entennman's, but I wasn't sure if they really fit in the group. All I've ever seen are their doughnuts and full sized cakes.
