Is Tidus white?

This is probably a stupid question but this is something i've been wondering. Is Tidus white? I never noticed before but he is REALLY tan. In the FMVs he's usually the darkest of the party members (look at him on the airship scenes) and even in game screens hes just a tiny bit lighter than Wakka.I could show some pictures if you guys wanted. And also not to mention his dad Jecht is pretty dark too. So is he white? Probably a stupid question to ask but I was just wondering. And I don't mean for this thread to turn out racist lol.

He's a tan asian.

Definitely in FMV cutscenes he appears to be a Tanned Asian. Then again, so do practically all of the characters in the FMVs.

Well his hair is bleached.... Dunno how he got blue eyes though when Jecht has red.

Why are we even trying to reason tidus? He doesn't exist.

I assumed he was supposed to look like someone from Southern California, albeit done poorly.

Think about Tidus and his background in order to figure it out. He's a celebrity athlete whose training includes rigorous underwater breathing practice. He's going to see a lot of sunlight. That argument of course loses some strength when you look at Datto, but he is probably albino.

Is Kimahri blue or is that just a large amount of fur hiding something more :monster:

Blond hair and blue eyes is actually indicative of being a foreigner in anime. :3 So, I suppose this can explain his looks. :p Anyway.

I think he's from Spira. His skin color does appear to be white though.

The first thing that comes to mind is Zanarkandian.

I believe the characters of Final Fantasy X were intentionally given Asian and Polynesian influences to reflect the climate of the world of Spira.

He always looked like a pacific islander to me. Considering the settings the majority of the game takes place in, I figured that was the intent.

Also, for those of you wondering why he has blonde hair; it's bleached. In many of the FMVs you can see that he needs to do his roots.

Also, in the flashback scenes where he's a kid, his hair is not blonde.

And lets not forget, he was originally supposed to have jet black hair anyway.

His dad was a freaking whale, so I don't think he's ever gonna fit into traditional ethnic categories.

I never noticed before but even in non fmv screens his skin is darker then everybody elses in the party. (bad picture but you get what i mean)

Lulu is a goth, clearly she's a bad example as she's so white she's practically translucent!

I can't be the only person who ever thought of Wakka as Jamaican. He's got the accent going on.

It's important to know this because Stormfront can't enjoy a game with a non-white protagonist.

As gamers, we can't relate to people who aren't pasty neckbeards pretending to be the hero of a video game.
