I fell in love with this game when I was a kid and I still have nothing but positive memories of it. The characters, the story, the quirkiness... it was just such an all around fun game.
Let's talk about how great it was!

Didn't you do a SMRPG appreciation thread a year or two ago or am I just confusing that with all of the times you mention your love of it? Either way, smurf it, let's talk about some SMRPG.
About a year ago my sister gave my wife her Wii since her fiance had one too so she didn't need it any more. I could care less about the Wii itself, but when we started it up and I saw she had downloaded SMRPG for it?
Out of all the RPGs I've ever played, I can easily say that SMRPG had the highest replay-value. In fact, me and a friend recently started doing a "low-level, first available equipment only and only the special attack/special def-choice during level-up" challenge together. We are currently at the sunken pirate ship.
Toughest battle so far was Croco 2 (Croco in the mines). But it wasn't too bad still. Things will probably get a whole lot worse later on though.
You can jump on Link and Samus without waking them up
This game was hilarious and awesome, if only they would make another.
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is almost as good. I had to call my aunt with 1-800-Collect since she was considered "long distance" from us so I could just lazily get the password for the pirate ship.
This might literally be the only RPG that I didn't change the main character's name to my own name. You can't just change Mario's name!
Oh, is it time for our annual Super Mario RPG thread?
At the SE event Robert asked me what game from another company other than SE would I want to see made. My answer was Super Mario RPG 2. Kind of cheating, but who cares.
I was really disappointed when I didn't see Mallow and/or Geno in Mario Kart 64. I thought they were the coolest new characters that Nintendo introduced to the Mario universe.
let's play geno!
Super Mario RPG was the first RPG I ever played as a kid, and I loved it. I should play it again as an adult to see how it's aged.
Geno should be in the next Smash Bros.
They don't own Solid Snake or Sonic either.
I spazzed right out when Geno made his cameo in Superstar Saga.

this music would work where this music normally plays, and vice versa
i could go on for hours about the music
and also the gameplay is really fun and ages extremely well. this is one of the games i've replayed the most (slightly biased because i had a snes controller with a non-functional start button for a good deal of time but that doesn't do anything to decrease the quality of the game)
This was my first RPG. X3
Also, here's a SMRPG song cover by my favorite YouTube musician:
This game is just so amazing. I remember breaking the game by getting a Star from a chest, then suiciding in a random battle to level grind really quickly.
I'm currently playing it now for the first time ever. On VC. But anyway, I'm loving it. Such a good game, funny, well designed, etc. I think actually somewhat ahead of its time.
My sister's been playing Mario RPG lately and her cat chases Mario around the screen. Even cats want in on the fun. :D
Games like these make me mad I didn't have a SNES growing up.
Got to see some game footage from watching my cousin play while over at his house. Looked fun. Didn't know Square was involve in development, shows you how much I pay attention.
I read the title to this as "Super Mario RPG Anticipation". I thought they were either rereleasing it, or making a sequel. I am somewhat disappointed.
Another awesome game for SNES. SNES has the best RPGs I think. Chrono Trigger, Mario, FF2/3, BoF II, Earth Bound. I'd love to get my hands on Super Mario RPG again
