According to Wikipedia, magenta is equal parts red and blue, with no green... but so is fuchsia.

Fuchsia comes from German
So they are both loan words for the same color. Q.E.D.
Amaranth is a better color than Fuchsia/Magenta though. :p

This is disturbingly hard for me to answer. XD I think because I over-think it and try to come up with a logical reason why color X is better than color Y. lol.
But yeah, I'm going to say blue.
Blue, purple and pink-ish colors are my favourites. If I have to name one, lavendel. Both light and dark shades of these are fine.
This is actually very difficult because when I think of a colour I like I think of all of them. Can't beat a sky blue though.
