Have you answered the Mognet Message I have sent earlier this month? Well, I hope so, because we have a week left for this month, and next month we'll get to playing a new game of... The Feud!

Are you guys ready? Well, I hope so, and I would like to get prepared early so this game can go smoothly. I need four teams of 5 members, so that means... I need 20 people to sign up for the next game! There will be 3 games played. Two teams face off in each game, and the third game will have the winners of games 1 and 2 face off each other. Depending on how long the game goes, it may take an entire month to finish, but in the end, everyone will have fun. :D If you have played in the past and would like to join again, feel free to do so. Welcome back and all that jazz. I will explain the rules for the game next month! For now, I need players, so this is the sign-up thread, and will later be used for discussions on the games as they are playing. :)

So, if you want to sign up, post and say so. Once we are reaching 20 players, I will randomly select four team leaders and each leader will select the members of their teams. If you don't want to be selected as a leader, please mention it when you sign up. (e.g. "I'll sign up, but don't make me a leader!")

I generally recycle. Paper and glass all get put in their own bin. If I'm lazy though, I'll occasionally throw the odd bit of cardboard in the normal trash but hey... nobody's perfect, right?

Now that the first round is over I'd like to point out the disparity of ensuring one group gets a round worth double points while the other group gets a round worth triple points. It weights the competition unfairly.

Sorry if this sounds snarky, and I appreciate your efforts Pr00ts. Just something to consider in future games.

I get that, but that's also why in the original game they compete for the round each time instead of it being assigned to a group.

I had originally wanted to compete for the start of each round in this game, but I then reverted to how we've done in past games, alternating between the teams per round.

Regardless of that. It looks like we've found a replacement for Faris' team! Since Lone Wolf Leonhart abruptly left leaving the 5Ps a player short, he will be replaced by Shauna! Welcome to the game, Shauna!

EDIT: for the record, I agree with sharky. Having different rounds worth different amounts of points makes no sense considering teams automatically alternate rounds (which is better for an internet competition where everyone's not always present all the time).

That doesn't explain why the 3rd and 4th games are worth different amounts of points (one doubled, one tripled). If point values are going to increase, they should be the same on both sides, because each side starts two games.

And yes, I've seen the show. A lot. But this is an online message board, not a live game set. The rules need to be adjusted accordingly.

To be fair, Ramuh hasn't really been featured much in the later Final Fantasies. His status as "stereotypical Lightning summon" has been replaced by other stand-ins like Quetzacoatl, Ixion, Addramalech, hell even the normally non-elemental Odin was sort of the lightning summon of FFXIII. At least for me, being a younger person who hasn't played the earlier Fantasies, Ramuh doesn't exactly spring to mind for me.

As for Knights of the Round, I'm slightly surprised, but not by much. It's a famous summon for being firstly in FFVII, by far one of the most popular FFs there, being the most powerful summon in that game (and having a long sidequest to get to it, which many gamers will remember) and also for having a long animation time. When you think about it, it makes sense being on the tail-end of the board.

And now we begin with Australia. I really hope I don't let the team down!

I doubt we'll be allowed to change our answer, but I think spiders will be up there. Australia is famous for its large and deadly spiders, and there are a number of spider phobes on EoFF. Snakes or jellyfish may also be possibilities.

Convicts would be the funny choice, and I hope it is up there, but I think spiders is more likely. HNB is also possible.

This game angers me at how very obvious answers never seem to be on the board. Martial arts now?!?!

How can Martial Arts be obvious when Hockey is a more obvious answer? It all depends on how the people answered the survey.

To be honest, I'm surprised Hockey's at the top. Hockey in England is virtually non-existent, but I guess it's alot more popular in the States and Canada. I thought Martial Arts would be up there simply because it's not tied to country or whatever; it's popular pretty much everywhere.
