I currently wonder how your name should be pronounced.
I want to say its 'Jeye-mez'.
Another possobility is 'J-eyemz'.
A slightly less likely option could be 'jim-ez'.
I find myself pronouncing it "Jims-es",
Anyway, welcome to the forums!
Well you're off to a good start when people are already questioning how to pronounce your name!
Welcome \o/
I will call him Jes mis. Just cos it sounds like Les Mis but it's Jes Mis. There ya go!

You guys are coming up with all of these extra S sounds. xD
Jim S.
Really Locky is the only one to come up with an extra S sound.
The almost double S sound of me noodle boy is trying to sound out the oddity of 'sz' and wondering if perhaps they should be pronounced together or separately.
Hello jimezs (which I shall pronounce "jim" from now on.)
I'm going to go Spanish, and pretend it's a shortened version of Jiminez.
So, "He-mez"
It's not like there's any words that ever end in 'zs', so how would you know it's not supposed to be pronounced as two separate sounds?

why is it that I always kill these threads? i always get the last word; anyone up for the challenge? i officially dare any and all to have the final say in as many small-scale threads as they can manage. the gig is on!
The difference is we didn't put an S sound where there shouldn't have been one.
you'll notice the Zs at the end. This could well be intended to make a double consonant sound, much like Fhtagn, which actually makes two moments of a double consonant sound.
So where Locky inserted an S prior to the M, where clearly there was not, it could be feasible Jim here intended the double consonant sound with the Zs ending his name.
Of course Locky may have meant 'Jes Mis' and it's first S to be silent, so perhaps it is NO ONE came up with an extra and non existant S sound.
So, in short, PISS OFF! :mad2:
Until "I know roogle", i thought this was a spambot for sure.
He makes one post, and leaves, never to tell us how to pronounce his gd name. :(
That's because he hates us.
Maybe he'll still come back. Welcome to EoFF, Jim. :)
