I have never been to Ohio so I must abstain.
I voted Ohio. If you need a reason then just use your imagination and I'm sure it will be a good enough one.
This is a tough one.
I'm going with Ohio but just barely. FF8 was at least marginally enjoyable.
I voted FFVIII, because I can more easily pretend that Ohio doesn't exist.
One is a place where huge time smurfery involving effeminate teenagers with impractical weapons and selective amnesia; the other is FFVIIII.
I cannot pretend that Ohio does not exist. We still have property that belonged to my Grandmother that's tied up in an inheritance issue in South Point (on the verrrrrrry tip of Ohio on the Ohio River across from Ashland, KY). Or well. It's not really an issue. More like my Dad effed up majorly when he gave 1/2 ownership to his older sister and she's a beesh and then she died and we don't know how Florida inheritance laws work. So my Dad kinda is all ":bou::bou::bou::bou::bou: it" 'cuz he can't pay the property tax anyway and someone completely destroyed it last Summer and and and and. Yeah. Hardwood flooring got torn up and smashed, Ethan Allen furniture got jacked, bathroom walls got busted and pipes exposed. It's a mess. Nice house, ishy neighborhood. I assume eventually the state will scoop it up. Whatever.
Oh yheah... I forgot that 95% of my extended family is up there... Some aunts, a handful of cousins, whatever.
Ohio, I actually like FFVIII.
i tolerated ohio for longer than i tolerated ff8.

I enjoyed FFVIII because of TripleTriad, but I never enjoyed Ohio.
I enjoyed the people I spent time with in Ohio, but it's still worse.

Yeah but Captain James T. Kirk was from Iowa, aka that other four-letter-state-with-a-bunch-of-vowels-that-I-always-confuse-with-Ohio.
Clearly Ohio, Final Fantasy VIII can easily snapped in half, no such luck ruining Ohio.
I like Ohio's flag, but I am not aware of any other redeeming features the state possesses.

Final Fantasy VIII has a lot of flaws, but at least it isn't absolutely insufferable every time election season comes around. Ohio is obviously worse.
What if you're stuck in Ohio playing FFVIII?
