What's up with that?
See also: Monday.
I don't know, Garfield.
Yeah I know, what a cruel world we have to live in!
"Ugh, work" is miles better than "Ugh, unemployment". Maybe one day the scars of being jobless will leave me...
I just don't get why we have to work five days a week so we can do what we want for a mere two days. :(
Agreed 100000%
Also agreed, this is why I'm going to attempt to continue to work part-time for the rest of my life. I don't care if it means I have to live in a shack. I'd rather have the time to enjoy being alone in my shack then not have the time to be alone in my fancy house. Currently I work four days a week and the extra day is worth the pay cut.
It's fine. I just need to win the lottery.
Monday is my day off
-Some- people don't get "days off".
Back when I had a good job... I worked -2- jobs. All the time. Then after Baby came along: 2 jobs, college classes, Baby. No day off unless I got deathly sick (which did happen 'cuz I was working 65 hrs a week plus classes). Exhaustion + Strep Throat. Winning! Out like a fat kid in dodgeball for a whole -week- y'all! But I digress.
I need a job. I kinda don't want one though. I'm tired of working. But there's too much I've gotta pay for and take care of. I just want a desk job. -_-;;;; No mas restaurants.
I have plenty of time, because I'm an insomniac anyway. I just game/hang out during the time I should be sleeping! :monster:
Work.
:stare:
ZOMG ZUFALL! #2926
I bet, all people around here would agree.
uuuuuuuuuuugh
In the restaurant Biz, We hate Fridays & Saturdays.
.... And the day before Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Valentine's Day, Easter Sunday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, 4th of July, Birthdays....\
I'm just sayin'.
I hate work.
I'd totally give him lasagna. But my lasagna is speshal. Which means -you- have to be speshal in order to receive my lasagna.
I'm not special. ;_; I see how it is.
I said no such thing. XD
Idk what everyone's complaining about, I like my jerb. What's to hate about doing something you like, being creative and having little to no pressure? Not to mention free booze every two weeks :monster:
I like my job too, but I like being at home playing videogames a lot more.
My boss decided today would be a good day to pipe in some new rooftop condensing units for some walk in refrigerators at a restaurant. Too bad it started pouring (around noon) and it's continued to rain the rest of the day. It's still raining right now.
And once we were in the middle of it, it wasn't like we could say "oh hey, lets wait for the rain to stop" or "lets finish it tomorrow", because restaurants usually have thousands of dollars worth of meat/food in their walk ins. They needed those things up and running asap.
Great Monday -__-
I have a part-time job at the movie theatre. It sucks but at least I'm making money (barely).
You could be a kid in Africa and get raped and killed and trout instead of going to work :)
My job is borrrring. I talk ont he phone all day and when I'm not talking on the phone i'm twiddling my thumbs.
THE INTERWEBS. and newspaper but whatevs
So work on 4 hours sleep after being awake for 24 hours covering E3... yeah... it was a long day xD
I am unemployed. :(
I like my job. Getting up at 5:30 AM is a whole other story though...
4:10am here. It sucks, but it also has it's advantages. Though, I might get a severe pay raise if I switch to third shift for a few months. Not sure the exact time frame, but I would basically start late in the evening and leave early in the morning.
Thursday is the worst day of the week for me. On Monday I am all rested up and ready to go and by Thursday my sleep deficit catches up to me. That said, my job ain't bad.
I'm an assistant and it sucks. I know I should appreciate a 9-5 schedule with benefits and paid days off and vacation and trout, but I don't really think any of those things are worth the price of my soul.
"ugh, work" is countered by "ooh, money"
money magically turns into food and things
On the other hand if you're always at work you never get to enjoy your money so it's kind of a double edged sword
