Also, if you happen to be heading in today, I believe Sargatanas is not available as yet and that certain friends of mine are on Moogle, so I'll probably go for that server until Sargatanas becomes available later in Phase Three.

Maybe try again later - I know that the servers tend to fluctuate pretty wildly during the early hours of the game starting up.

Still waiting to get in, Even though they said V1.0 holders are guaranteed. (( but yeah i'm pretty sure there are ALOT of people they need to send those emails to + and also i believe that PS3 beta testers seem to get their hands on it before us... The V1.0 players ))

Sounds like you have login issues to me, mini. You sure you're doing it right? Check by logging into the SE account maintenance page somewhere.
Honestly all the servers are full right now so I expect they're just inviting people in waves to have a steady stream coming in rather than the servers being overloaded at the word go. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with whether your a PS3 player or where you live. They've already had 2 world restarts so far today to resolve various issues.Quote:

OMFG... i feel so dumb !!!!, I've been trying to login to lodestone by using my email all the time XDDD !!!
They updated the server lists to have Group JP and Group NA/EU - Chocobo is in the JP list now.
edit: I've gone on Moogle (EU) for the heck of it. Worst comes to worst I'll just go on whichever we end up on.
1. We decide to start on Sargatanas.
2. Sargatanas not on opening list, we decide to go for Coeurl, where some of us have been before.
3. Coeurl not on list, my friend opts for Chocobo.
4. Chocobo is a JP-focused server.

Well as far as I know everything's getting wiped at the end of Phase 3 anyway. It's Phase 4 where it carries over to live which is probably when the launch worlds will be on the realm list.
At 'Test 2', Sargatanas should open up and I'll be jumping onto my L50 character immediately. =x Yay for Test 2. Whenever it starts.
And yeah, I know it's all getting wiped before phase four but I just want to get my character back. xD
I'm telling people to go to Moogle now, either way.
Well on Moogle I have: Aulayna Frye (Archer) and Lillyanne Fablestay (Marauder)

PS: When i try to login to beta tester forums, it keeps saying: "You could not log in because that service account has been cancelled."
Are you able to access the Beta forums, mini? Have you searched through all the SE emails to check if you have received Beta access? I'm almost certain you should have access by now. If you can access the Beta forums then you should be fine to download the client.

Finally i found some information on the (( NOT BETA TESTER)) forums, which goes as follows:

As promised, all 1.0 players are eligible to enter Beta test phase 3 and we are aware that some 1.0 players still haven't received their PC beta keys. We are working on this issue and are doing our best to get the keys out to everyone as soon as possible.

Have I mentioned how much I love this game even more now? It's so beautiful. The intro cinematic was amazing (especially the crystal bit once you've played a bit), the feel and atmosphere of the game is incredible, the music and sound effects are beautiful. Love love love!

SOOOO turns out that SE sent me an EU code instead of a NA code? So I just tried to make a new account and put it under EU instead, so it works, well then it asks you to log into the account you just created after your code goes through and it tells me my password is wrong. WTF SE, this is making me mad.

I've definitely clocked up at least 24 hours of testing, though.
I do remember someone in our LS firing arrows without their bow being on display, though. Oh, and once or twice in Alpha we had to use /stuck to get out of awkward places.
The most problem I had was the Lag. I dunno if it was the game or my connection. but ugh I was lagging D:
Lag wasn't bad for me unless we had those massive FATE things going on. Oh, but it is a pain when you start right when everyone else is and so many people are all in the same place. That gave serious lag in Beta Phase One.
Maybe that was it. Then again my comp is not the best although every other mmo i've played, most recently Guild Wars 2, I've never had a lag issue. So I'm assuming it was probably the servers/masssive amount of people.
Next test of Beta starts this Friday at 2am PDT/5am EDT/9 am GMT!

I used Fraps to take mine.
FFXIV itself does actually save screenshots to a folder somewhere though.
Yeah, PrintScreen for me took screenshots in the old FFXIV, they went into the FFXIV folder within My Games.

I never played 1.0 so I can't speak to how improved it is precisely, but what I'm playing in the beta suggests a mighty big improvement because this game rocks right now.
Quick sort of silly question for you all you played 1.0. Is there other options for disciple of magic armor than the robes I see everywhere? One thing I liked about XI when I played it briefly was casters tended to just be wearing cloth tunics and pants, not silly looking robes.

Switched to the desert. I have had to do the sultantree quest 4 times now, and I'm getting sick of it.

I'm playing mostly on Moogle since my old character is only level 4 and I do not want to relevel him come Phase 4. :D

They have mentioned they didn't go ahead with turning and slow stop/start animations because people are eager for instant movement when it comes to things like Ifrit battles. Something like that. They might still add something later but yeah.
