And I wanted you guys to know about it.
Forgive me, but I swear the title said 'GOD is having a huge massive sale for the 24 hours'. :p
I need to get my eyes checked out again.
I want to get the Myst collection. For no reasonable reason.
I saw the email from them as well. It's an amazing sale, especially with their lack of DRM. FTL is a hard game to miss at the $2.49 price.
...
If only I didn't own pretty much all of the games on there that I'd want. ;o
Haha I know, I have so many of the great games there already. I'll probably end up spending even more money though, I'm sure!
Not funny. I just got FTL off them last night for 50% off, now it's 75% off >.>
Thanks for pointing this out. I decided it was finally time to pick up The Witcher 2 and Deus Ex, and I re-purchased SimCity 2000 out of nostalgia.
Gigantic sale is over although they're still having mini-sales for another week or so. Hope you all grabbed some good stuff! :whale:
Yeah, looks like it. I also picked up the first Witcher (because people said I'd need it to make complete sense of the second one), FTL: Faster than Light, and SMAC.
I wanted to get the Witcher games, but I don't have even a couple of dollars to spare on video games at the moment. Eventually I'll play that series. I already have too many games in my backlog to justify buying more anyways. Maybe this next week I'll finally have time to crack open Civ IV.
Isn't it though?
The list of games he's posted in this thread so far is making me shiver. :excited:
Indeed, he's getting all kinds of great stuff that I also already own because it's great stuff.
I <3 my GOG catalog. I've been a member for a while. But they don't get too many BAD games. So kudos to them
I recently/randomly grabbed Jade Empire off them, and Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD
Games I got in GOG sale:
Witcher 2
Magic Carpet 2
Populous
Syndicate Wars
Dungeon Keeper 1 & 2
Uplink
Fragile Allegiance
Divinity 2
Startopia
Masters of Orion III (I know it's trout but I need to play for myself to analyze why)
Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 & 3
I love GOG
I managed to get Civ IV, V, and XCOM Enemy Unknown from Amazon a while back for $20, which was awesome. I've only messed around with the tutorial on Civ IV, but I already feel like I understand what I should have been doing in SMAC a little better. Someday I'll get decent at those kind of games.
Woah! Maybe I'll have to grab some Zork games. :D
Definitive D&D for 20 bucks athankya
I would get Dreamfall, but I'm unsure of getting games for this smurfed up computer of my mother's.
Yeah, D&D Collection is my recommendation as well. You can't go wrong with Fallout 1 and 2 either.
Bumping this trout because Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics are free for a limited time.
If you see this in time and don't grab them I don't even want to talk to you anymore :doublecolbert:
No, I'm really not. I'll sale you a half eaten bowl of grits for 50 cent, but that's about it.
I keep misreading GOG as GOD, and the thread title is really weird because of this.
EDIT: I hope to grab these when I'm home. I don't know how GOG works, but I assume it's similar to Steam so I just need to create an account.
That is correct.
There are people in the world who have never played the first two Fallout games.
I already bought them from GOG a long time ago but thanks anyway! Probably got them before most of you even knew about GOG which I guess means I am a GOG-hipster.
...my parents must be so proud.
But yeah the reason I say that is because I remember when GOG was a tiny little site and had to even shut down briefly. I'm glad to see it doing well.
Paul were you aware that GoG just got Theme Park a couple days ago?
I'm not the Hipster I thought I was!
I'll be right the smurf there. Amiga 1200 glory days here I come
Wait a sec...that did say "GOD" last night, right?
When I say the title in my head with "GOD" instead of "GOG", I think of xfrodobagginsx and weep.
I was very happy to see that they have the new Giana Sisters game with a special offer for a limited time. I grabbed it since it'll take a while before this kind of offer repeats itself. Can't wait to relive the Amiga 500 days by playing this, and the new GS does look interesting mechanics-wise with the mode-swapping (which includes switching between Machinae Supremacy and Chris Hülsbeck versions of music tracks, yay!). :)
GOG was having this major Bullfrog sale the other day but I already owned like half of the games. xD And Mister Adequate already had all of them! :shobon:
Yeah, I bought Theme Hospital during that sale, still an amazing game.
Shame that CorsixTH thing is so buggy, but the original still holds up.
Theme Hospital is solid. Also Theme Park.
Every Bullfrog game GoG has is absolutely amazing.
And the sale seriously had a little thing that popped up and said "You already own every game in this deal :)" when I went to see the Bullfrog sale xD
You're reminding me to pickup Alpha Centari and Theme Hospital from this sale.
Jerks with great taste in video games.
So many 90's games on GOG that I would love to buy, but then I don't know if I'd ever get the time to play them. :(
If singing the praises of SMAC makes someone a jerk, I'm happy to continue being the biggest jerk around.
Never knew you could get games so cheap. Will the money I spend go to the developers?
It's only making you people jerks because I feel forced to buy it and experience it's quality. ;(
