I played a couple games on a floppy in my youth!
Good times, eh? A million floppy disks to install things, each installing only 10% at a time.
I had about two cases of floppy disks back in my late-80s youth. Had a total of probably ~200 games across all of them. It was great times :aimsun:
Cartridge sleeves for the NES. They smell like plastic and childhood.
I remember pretty distinctly seeing commercials for Resident Evil 3 and Final Fantasy 8 during prime time TV back when I was a kid. I was amazed. They were video games! That I knew! On TV!
Now I'm so sick of video game commercials. Familiarity breeds contempt, I guess.
I do miss big PC game boxes, though. In a sense, at least. I really don't miss the sheer amount of space they take up, but I miss the nostalgia attached to them.

GOD yes! I still have the original Myst games! Never finished them though, as I found them way too hard back them. Riven was like one giant "?" to me back then. :(

Dude there's really too much to put down here but let me say that fmv games, lucas arts games and so much more shaped my young mind and taught me to read so many words I'd have never bothered learning..
I LOVE my computar.
All I know is I loved the trout out of my empty Tomb Raider trapezoid box and kept it for much longer than I should have.
