I came back after a very busy long weekend to find a random post of mine from 2004 positively REPPED AGAINST ITS WILL.
The responsible party, these reppists, will be punished to the fullest extents of El Presidente's powers. Eyes on Fuhrer's Furor will now and forever have a zero-tolerance policy towards non-consensual postual molestation.
...I can't check to see who I've repped lately because I have too much crap in my User CP and the server doesn't like me for it.
I'm pretty sure it tells him who repped him.

I once had one of my posts from 2006 repped. I didn't know what to do. Either someone was reading all my posts or they were reading everything ever in General Chat. :whimper:
Some miscreant reppists also rep'd an old post of mine from 2009. Creepy, but at least my post was above the age of consent. If your post was from 2004, why, that sounds like statutory rep.
Raist, you hit the nail on the head. My poor post was simply hanging out with friends, talking about what kind of candy it liked. Such innocence corrupted.

Despite most of you not taking this seriously AT ALL, I'm glad we can finally have this conversation. There has been a subculture of complacency brewing in this community for some time, and we need to shed light on it. I'm with Shoeberto. There really is a deep-seated rep issue here. When's the last time EoFF went more than a week without a reported instance of serious rep, or a thread about rep was started? This fascination can be dangerous for your physical and mental health. How many posts are born each year out of rep?!
But just because some rep occurs does not mean any and all posters should be able to have their posts deleted willy-nilly. Post deletion is acceptable only in cases of legitimate rep, but otherwise posters should deal with the consequences of their actions and not use deletion as post control.
