I do not have a very high opinion of the anime in general. The card game was alright, I suppose, but too easy to break from what I remember.

Squirtle was my starter when I played the game, so that has always been a favorite of mine. For some reason I always pick the water Pokemon for my starter in games.

best physical/attack-focused starter in a heavily-physical generation? which also happens to be my favorite generation of games? heck to the yes
edit: starmie was a speedy special beast that could learn surf/psychic/ice beam/thunderbolt, aka the best non-earthquake moves in gen1.

Last week I went around repping every post Pike made because charmander is my favourite pokemon. The other day at work I found a pokemon card so I put it in someone's mailbox with the following note attached:

My brother got whipped by some guy with a towel because he wouldn't trade him a charizard card.

Then that guy had a crush on my sister so he gave her a few holos (some things that we traded over to him too!). Another kid (who didn't really know her) liked my sister too and gave her an onyx.
Then some guy that used to bully me tried to make up by giving me a stack of cards lol.

Maybe someone should create a "sig making tips" thread in the art forum? Not a photoshop tutorial, but maybe just a list of links to free photo editing software, a reminder of the sig and avatar requirements and a couple of general hints about making things look nice? It doesn't take long to google an image or wallpaper or some stock gradients and pull them together.

Gyarados, Ninetails, Arcanine, Mewtwo, Sandslash, Parasect, Articuno, Xatu, Lanturn & Dragonair were my favourites if I remember correctly. Especially Gyarados & Arcanine though, they were the trout.
Bahaha ...bought black version today for $20 at Walmart for the heck of it...need something to do.
Squirtle (and later Blastoise) was my mainstay Pokemon back in the Red/Blue era (the only Pokemon version I played).
Other fun Pokemon: Alakazam (though I see Del is already a lower version :mad2:), Haunter, and Charizard.

I will say one thing though, vaporeon isnt as good in gen 1... but in future generations such as 3 4 and 5 it becomes an absolute monster. I hardly ever analyze gen 1 from a competitive standpoint though due to how broken and unbalanced it is.
I used to purely use jolteon or umbreon in the past, but now vaporeon is my absolute favorite.
