Lucky Pumpkins ☆2013☆

LUCKY PUMPKINS
☆2013☆

In place of Marshall Banana, I will be handing out Lucky Pumpkins this year beginning tonight at midnight until tomorrow at 11:59pm, PST. It's easy to play! The first person to claim the posted pumpkin gets what's inside! A person may claim only two pumpkins in total until the Grand Prize Pumpkin is revealed. You may claim the final pumpkin regardless of if you've already hit your limit of two.

Pumpkins will be posted at random and may be posted in this thread or others around the forum, so be sure to keep a sharp lookout. Remember that not every pumpkin contains a prize!

Many thanks to MB for these super cute designs. She intended to run this event but is feeling ill this weekend, so everyone please thank her for making this event possible and wish her well!

They are primarily forums-based prizes but there may or may not be a physical prize for the Grand Pumpkin winner.

Prizes will be handed out immediately in correlation to the pumpkin that has just been claimed. Only one pumpkin at a time will be posted until it is claimed, after which the pize will be issued, and the process repeated!

This is a celebratory colbert title

Believe it or not, I was worried about making a "wrong" decision. Not that there was one, of course.

I wanted to pick an icon that people would use a lot. I knew that :colbert: popped up a lot in threads about politics, "worst of" lists, and so on. But it's also used comically. So it's sort of the best of both worlds and I thought it would be enjoyed.

I'm a man of the people :cool:

At the end of the day it's all in good fun and there's one more post icon than there was yesterday :monster:

It looks like the rules might need some clarification, though? Here's what I've managed to figure out since we started playing, but I may be wrong because so far I've thought something different with every post.

-Shorty will be posting pictures of pumpkins for people to claim.
-The pictures will all be different.
-The pictures will be posted by Shorty in different threads, not just this one.
-Once spotted, the member needs to identify the thread and post their claim in this thread, not the thread with the pumpkin in it (?).

They will all be different, yes. You can claim the pumpkins either in here or the thread they are posted in, but it's probably best to post right after you see one so others know it's been claimed. Other than that, you got it! :jess: Apologies if it has been too confusing!

Unfortunately, it looks like we are unable to change Cid's name due to a server issue. I know it makes it less fun, but choosing a non-staff name is probably for the best because of issues in the past (members with swapped names sending out warnings, etc).

So sorry! Perhaps there is someone else you would like to be for a couple of days? :moose:

A change to the rules is being made. We don't have a terribly large amount of pumpkins left to give away, so I'll be alternating between editing them into pre-existing posts (not necessarily exclusive to my username) and creating new posts with them to spice things up just a little bit more. Hope this doesn't make things more confusing!
