What would you do with large sums of money?

What would you do with ridiculously large amount of money?

I would open up a big animal shelter. I would open up a charity for low income households. I would go around to restaurants and grocery stores and pay people's bills. I would do that with their other bills also, but I figure that information is confidential so I don't think I could. I would donate to a lot of children's hospitals and already existing animal rescue funds. I would buy my mom a house and pay for the upkeep and all of that. I would pay her husband back the money he has spent on me and my son and pay off his credit card debt. I would buy sharky some of those extravagent cars he likes. I would pay off his debt and his parents debt.

Also, a trip to Europe. For like a few months.

I'd spend it all creating one singular and gigantic sandwich, the likes of which the world has never seen.

Make sure my family is set, travel the world, and perhaps buy a quaint little Victorian house to call home.

Buy a perfect house and piece of land and get a financial adviser.

Put back a bit more than I need for splurging purposes, and to put the child through college,wedding, etc and in case there are more children on the way.

Then give the ones I love enough to live wealthy... even those who I no longer talk to.

Toss some money at a few places I like to give them a hand.

Umm...I think that will do it. I don't really want more than I need, but it would be nice to be set for life.

Buy some land from my grandparents at the end of a class 4 road about 2000ft up in the hills. Build a nice little house and barn, make it all self sustainable and live happily ever after.

it depends how much but assuming it was enough to never have to work again i'd get an city apartment and a more rural house and go between them as I pleased and just read and cook and try do something decent with the money to help people somehow (the only way I am ever going to get that kind of money is by some undeserving way like winning the lottery so I would feel pretty guilty about it)

Nothing extravagant. Just save it for things I need. Boring, but smart.

Depends how much. First and foremost I'd pay off my student loans. Second I'd make sure my family are all financially stable.

After that, I would take a trip around the world. I would also like to learn how to set up my own printing press and then actually do that. I'd also like to build a gigantic library room in my house (if I have a house).

Spoil myself with a ton of crap I don't need and be escorted by hotties to make the other boys jelly.

Buy myself a castle, a jaguar (car), open an animal shelter, donate to my two favourite charities and buy houses abroad in Japan and Menorca

For a large sum of money I would live secure financialy. Simple life.

For a ridiculously large sum of money I would live securely in a comfortable radiation proof bomb shelter filled with guns and quarantine zones incase of zombie apocalypse or nuclear fallout.

Start a business, and travel the world!

I'd probably open my own shop and still work for a living....but then I'd get like....fancy marble tubs and really high end equipment. I'd go to Japan for sure. I'd go to other countries too but Japan is priority number one. I'd donate a lot to some worthy causes.

I would withdraw it all in the form of cash and then burn it, thus slightly deflating the value of goods and services.

Live off of interests.

Possibly have a simple job on the side just a couple of days a week in order to get some human contact and meet new people.

i would give the money to my parents so they could pay whatever they needed because it is really the least i can do :x

After clearing myself and my mom of debt? (I may not like the woman much but she birthed me and raised me best she could, I owe her that much) Buy myself a nice apartment in the city, a decent car or motorbike (maybe one of each if I'm not going crazy with the cash we're not talking a Lamborghini here) and invest the rest wisely.

I would get my dad and me out of debt, buy him another boat to live on, get my license back, buy a car, blah blahblah.

Pay off all my loans, buy a condo, and give the rest to family members who need it for whatever reason. :O

I would hire Bill Murray to go to every single one of your houses and raid your fridge, judge your record collection, and then leave after licking your ear and whispering, "no one will ever believe you!".

I am inclined to believe that Bill Murray would do all of that for free.

And we'd totally believe each other if we all revealed our experience!

I would eradicate poverty. And this is where someone pipes up and says "But Daniel, that would take a ridiculous amount of money to..." and I give them that smug look while they remember that it is quite clearly specified that this would be a ridiculous amount of money.

The other thing I would do is buy every house I can in some classy area on the outskirts (or inskirts) of Auckland and then buy all (read: potentially hundreds) of my EoFF friends entrance into New Zealand (for whatever it costs, I'm sure I can do this for a ridi-- oh, you get the idea) and then we can all live together and chill out at each other's places and whatever. I would also invest in an awesome town hall kind of thing which would be fitted up for some epic LAN parties.

I would also buy villas and visas for various countries, travel the world, stay at lots of nice hotels, etc.

EoFF staff would get paid a very nice salary.

Love in money, is sorta the downhill, its like, meh...
You can just hang with friends, grab a drink and watch a movie..

I hope you get a lot of notes and not just coins 'cause otherwise that would be uncomfortable

I would blow a huge chunk of my money and a completely insane and meaningless project for the ages. One so insane it would take all of the ingenuity of the the world to complete the monstrosity.

I would build a suspension bridge around the world. It would employee thousands of people in a doomed project. On ramps would be actual ramps you drive your car off of to land on the bridge. And since this spans the world and I have what I will consider a bottomless pit of money, why not make it a 64 lane highway? I mean...what could possibly go wrong with this? It alone would rival the 8 wonders of the world and usher in a new age of enlightenment for civilization as we know it!

So basically, you want to use it on a gigantic economic stimulus package
