Artination Prompts

If Timber Maniacs HQ can have the Writing Prompts thread, then there ought to be a similar thread for Relm's Studio! That's where this thread comes in. Each week, or so, there will be a prompt for anyone interested in joining along for the ride. You do not need to be a great artist to draw a prompt, nor do you need to do the prompts. If a prompt interests you and you feel motivated to draw for the prompt, then by all means, you should do it! Every Monday or so, we will have a new prompt for artinating. Can anyone make a prompt for those artinating in this thread? Sure, as long as they join in at some point themselves.

First off, I'd like to know who'll be interested in joining us in this artinating project? If we end up with enough, I'll come up with our first artinating prompt unless someone come up with one before I get around to it. :)

Okay, first prompt while we're at it! It will be a pretty simple one to start things off.

Draw your favorite character. The character can be from any media (TV, movie, video games, books, etc.) so do a drawing and post em in this thread. If you would like to make any comments to anyone's drawings, you are welcomed to do so. Just don't be rude to each other. :)

Alright, sign me up, but I can only draw people (somewhat), so I won't be participating in every prompt.

Can I draw a character from one of my stories for this prompt, or does it have to be someone from published media?

Alright, so ultimately I've decided to push myself and not draw someone I draw all the time (I'll introduce you guys to my characters some other time ;) ). I didn't actually pick my favorite character, since I don't think I actually have one favorite. But this one is definitely one if my faves lately.

I want them to make a Garrus game as Garrus as archangel Archangeling it up. I love him.

I got bored and decided to whip something up in MS Paint for this real quick. I have no artistic ability, and this was using the touchpad on my laptop which never works out well. He should be recognizable for anyone who has seen the show though, haha.

Based on one of the older members saying a long time ago that she'd rather see Basch's ass in Balthier's leather pants. I doubt he'd let her :exdee: Also, if you can't recognize the outfit on Basch, it's the one Balthier's wearing in Tactics. I don't think I'm ready to tackle the vest he wore in XII.

Squall demands an explanation for this smurfery.

Great job everyone. I'm rather impressed how everyone is doing the prompts so far. I'd like to remind you that anyone can provide prompts, so if I don't get one in on time, go right ahead and make one up.

Started switching characters' clothing by drawing Fran in Balthier's outfit, which turned out okay for a quick sketch without using reference material. I started drawing Balthier though and he looked like a little gremlin in Fran's helmet rather than the handsome crossdresser I was aiming for, so you can just imagine how he would look in that sexy lingerie.

Fran looking kind of like a buccaneer...

You don't need to have watched the show/read the books to create your own character/sigil, though. But it's really up to you if you want to draw or not. Also, go ahead and keep your stuff in spoilers when you post this week.

Now you do. Start drawing, girl (or like whatever it is you can do).

I took my sweet time with the sigil idea; it is perhaps too plain, in a sense, but more would detract from the idea of the straight-forwardness that are house signs.
