Who in EoFF do you pick to be your Hand? Who else do you surround yourself with in the various governing positions? Who do you keep an eye on as possible traitors and usurpers?
Vivi would be my Hand and Jiro would be my Kingsguard. I would surround myself with friends because what are friends for? I expect Jinx would attack my penis with leeches the moment I am no longer useful for her grand schemes of world conquest. She of course will be disposed of :colbert:
Here is a list of the small council, in case anyone wanted to get technical:
- Hand of the King
- Lord Commander of the Kingsguard
- Master of Coin - Head of the Treasury and finances of the kingdom.
- Master of Laws - Oversees the Laws & Justice system for the Kingdom.
- Master of Whisperers - The spymaster, and the head of intelligence.
- Master of Ships - Oversees the navy.
- Grand Maester - head adviser on matters of lore and wisdom.
Hand of the King would be a tricky call. I'd want someone efficient, of course, but also loyal, and those two are at desperate odds on these boards. Everyone who would be efficient at keeping order is totally untrustworthy, especially people like Psychotic and Del Murder. They'd kill me for the Throne before my arse had warmed it up. On the other hand people who could be trusted are far too nice to be the Hand, like Pike or Rantz.
Actually, there is one person who I think would have the ruthlessness needed combined with loyalty: I'd appoint fire_of_avalon to be my Hand.
The rest of the Small Council would be as follows:

No one is suited to be Master of Whispers more than Psychotic.
Psychotic is already the Hand. The forums staff are already the Kingsguard and the Editors are already the Whisperers, the Devs already the Masters of Ships and the Tech Admins are the Grand Maesters. The Masters of Coin are Amazon and Google.

I've kept trying to think of who I would have for my council every since making this thread, but it's hard considering I don't know too many people that well here. Here are my current thoughts, though.
Hand of the King: Shorty
Lord Commander of the Kingsguard - Rantz
Master of Coin - Del Murder
Master of Laws - Raistlin
Master of Whisperers - Psychotic
Master of Ships - Pike
Grand Maester - Lonely Paper Star (I think I'd also be asking her to help write the lore of my kingship just because I like her writing.)
Hand of the King - Loony BoB, did anyone forget how he runs this website and keeps the family all harmonious? Would make an awesome hand.
Lord Commander of the Kingsguard - fire of avalon, girls got skills.
Master of Coin - Shlup, I dunno about this one, but Shlup is a mom and moms invariably seem to be good with money so eh.
Master of Laws - Psychotic, he has advised me on real life stuff, and he seems to know his trout.
Master of Whisperers - Raistlin, who else?
Master of Ships - Faris, with a name like that who could think anything other then Faris lol.
Grand Maester - Wolf Kanno, gotta be him, knows how to argue stringent points of games and such, I cant think of someone better then Wolf for this role.
