RPG? FPS? RTS? Something that isn't an acronym? A perfectly tuned balance?
It use to be RPG's though now it's FPS and Puzzle games. I'll binge on simulator games every now and then for a few weeks but when I refinish every level in RCT or get bored ofmaking attractive people smurfdesigning houses in The Sims i'll leave it for another year or two. I was obsessed with bird flinging simulators for a year or two but when I lost all my progress I stoped playing them.
RPGs mostly. I used to play fighting games a lot. None of my friends could beat me at King of Fighters XII or Soul Caliber II, but that was then and this is now and now I get my ass handed to me on a regular basis in Persona 4 and Skull Girls. I need to get back into them and play more. They're still a lot of fun, even when I'm getting my ass handed to me.
RPGs and FPSs.
RPG's
I have sunk the most amount of time into RPGS easily, but there are plenty of other genres that I have played tons and tons.
I put a ton of time into RPGs but I also put a lot of time into platformers as well. In fact I grew up with platforming games: namely the Donkey Kong Country trilogy and Sonic the Hedgehog. I'm still into both to this day.
Strategy, strategy, and more strategy.
Also bird catapulting simulators.
Stupid pigs. :colbert:
Strategy mostly, but there's a good dose of almost everything in there.
Also any sandbox or sim game that induces a bad case of the spergs.
MOBA, simulator, and rhythm games. :I
When I lost all my progress I also lost all my interest in Bird Catapulting Simulators but my favourite was the Space one
I hardly play anything besides RPGs.
Right now, I suppose MOBA.
RPG's, Visual Novels and Advance Wars
JPRGs are where I spend most of my time. We usually alternate between a JRPG and another game. So we'll play a JRPG where one person controls the main character and then say a shooter, then another RPG where the other person controls player 1, followed by a platformer or something.
Gets us through the backlog.
RPGs and Visual Novels, at the moment.
RPG's overall, although in recent years (what with child, work, having the attention span of an ironing board) I've gravitated more towards sports games to get that quick fix rather than settling down for an epic gaming session on an RPG.
I spend most of my gaming time on RPGs, just because each of them requires so many hours to get through, and even more to do all the additional content. Other than that, I play fighting games and strategy games. When I was younger, it was mostly real time strategy that was my thing, but in recent years, it's basically only been Civilization. Sometimes I really feel like driving really fast around the nurburgring, so there's the racing checkbox too. I guess mario kart is fun when I have real people to play against, but that's not too often.
RPGs and Rhythm games mostly, though I enjoy puzzle and action games as well. Kind of bored with sandbox, I am starting to appreciate more defined experience cause I just don't have the time to explore and find the fun in these types of games anymore due to other things in my life.
I play a lot of Guild Wars 2 so MMO, but I play mainly World vs World and PvP in GW2
I play a lot of DayZ that's 1st/3rd person shooter/ Survival Horror/ PvP
And then Civ V which is strategy.
I'm surprised there are so many shooters considering this is a JRPG site. For me it's RPGs and Action/Adventure, but there's no action adventure genre choice oddly.
The first six, mainly. So far this year it has been RPGs, puzzle, survivor horror, shooters, hack and slash, action, adventure, sports, and rhythm games.
I play mostly RPGs, action titles like Assassin's Creed or God of War, and platformers. The latter two aren't even on the list!
