So I made this video last night of me and a new friend I just made in game doing a mission where we must kill bandits attacking a Ural full of supplies. Sorry for poor quality and choppyness. I needs a new CPU :(

Dounut and I have a knack for getting ourselves into sticky situations. We crashed two helis today and I shot him once xD
I'm gonna just start recording everything we do and editing it together.
The quality wasn't real great, and it would be cool to hear you talking about what's going on as it happens, even if it's just stuff like "oh damn, I got hit" or whatever, because it's awfully quiet. I also had some sound-video sync issues but I'm not sure if that's me or the recording 'cause it is an issue I've had at times. But it's cool to see you doing this, and I definitely think you should just record the shenanigans you get up to and make some cool vids out of it.
What are you playing, anyway? Is this an alternate mode or has stuff just advanced since I was last able to join a server?
This was from the original mode for Arma II that the Stand Alone you played is based off.
I'm trying to figure out the settings, doesn't like to pick up my mic and peoples with me. also my need t get a better recording software. The one I'm currently using Overwolf is in alpha still. They shall only get better!
Alright! update for overwolf that allows recording of both speaker and mic and same time. why they didn't already have this I have no idea...
Juts upgraded my PC yesterday so should be able to start recording some much smoother videos now :) gonnna do some recording this weekend.

I use an overlay program called overwolf. A lot of the issues with first video is from my CPU getting raped. new i3 will help. I was seeing a 30FPS increase last night. Also the newest overwolf update now allows for the recording to pick up my mic and game audio. for whatever reason before it was only one or the other.

1.8.1 is nuts. They're fixing and lowering the zed dmg and radius. also loot is crazy hard to find. Took me 3 hours last week to get an axe, matches, crowbar and a gun. There's very few enterable buildings in the Mod so guns spawn in most of the ones you can get into. And noticed my mic was getting quieter as the video went. think I might have had it too far away from my mouth.
The sheer lack of items really bothered me. I played for like 20 hours and found no guns, ever. I rarely found a backpack. Axes and soda was it. It makes the game really hard to get invested in.
It does and in the SA there's no persistent storage yet so you die and you lose everything. They have added hunting/cooking and fire building to the experimental servers. I'd advise running around on lower pop servers to get the hang of the map and what spawns where for loot. Once you know how to get to one of the three airfields or several military bases you'll be fully geared out within an hour.
